Counter service was quick and friendly and restaurant appeared clean and orderly. Food was hot, looked appealing and was ready in an appropriate amount of time. Food was bland, we had veg nachos and barbacoa tacos. Refried beans and chips were flavorless? My husband loves tacos and can eat many in one setting. This order came with three, he ate one and a half of them. He stated the only flavor was garlic, not the deep flavor you expect.

I was looking forward to having a meal with my wife, since it opened near where I lived. With a 25% coupon, we tried it out and were quite disappointed. We had two bowls, steak and chicken, which were dry and utterly without flavor. How can a restaurant expect to survive with this level of food. We both immediately agreed that we’ll never come again. I guess that’s what happens when a restaurant charges high prices for tasteless and dried out food. I can’t wait to get the taste out of my mouth.

Tried it today, two thumbs up from me. I’m going to share this restaurant with my friends and family. The place was clean, the owner and staff is really nice. They greeted me good for my first time and blessed me with one of my favorite bites; a steak burrito with no cream. Thank you all. Thank you to Rosa, who the owner told me to ask for and thank you to the cook and most of all, thank you too the owner because he helped me out and he didn’t know that I came to work without any lunch money. I recently was inside BIG WIG to have lunch with my friend and she loves Tacos so much so we had to try this location cus she said the downtown one is amazing. We walk in work with a young lady named Rosa. She gave great suggestions and was very friendly. I finished my delicious food and the cook was very nice after he asked if I enjoyed and spoke when we left. It was a quiet day inside but customer service and food was amazing for our experience.

The nachos are so good, amazing, well they were! The meat is seasoned to perfection, the rice & beans are aslo very good, all the dishes are good portions better than Chipolte any day OMG, they changed the cheese from an amazing creaming chihuahua cheese, to a orange tinged white cheese that taste like the cheap cheese you get at 7/11! Would I go again? No, why? It was the cheese that made the nachos amazing and gave the food a great balance.

I really wanted to like this place, but it was beyond disappointing. My boyfriend and I ordered tacos, a burrito, a quesadilla, and the rice/beans. The rice tasted like nothing, the beans were weirdly acidic and tasted like they were a week old, the quesadilla oozed with oil and was way too salty, and the tacos and burrito didn’t come with any salsa because we didn’t want to pay 50¢ extra for pico. We eat/cook Mexican food quite often and the fact that this place is fronting as an authentic place (their website claims “they’re legit” and offer “classic Mexican food”) is so messed up. The worst part? The food is so overpriced that once you realize how poor the quality is, you’ll have heart palpitations. You’re much better off supporting your local Mexican joint where the price will be right and the food will be delicious.

Avoid this place. Tacos are dry and way too expensive. I didn’t get any salsa, which should be a crime. Any decent taco place serves red and green salsa with tacos. Chips & Guac was a miss as well. Guac tasted ok, but the chips were very stale.

It’s not nearly as good as the one on Lasalle (very good btw) , the meat at this location tastes dry and extremely salty and it has a really really strong taste of OLD meat. I also tried the burrito and they filled it up completely with sour cream to the point where the burrito was completely soggy. Very disappointed, please take this as feed back.

Got a pick-up order which was less than ideal. Idk why I keep giving this place chances bc between the ones in the city and here, I’d rather just starve. My chicken bowl tasted off, unseasoned and kind of weirdly acidic. Chips from chips and guacamole were incredibly stale. I threw everything out bc it was so terrible.
