The food was pretty good. Though, it took a while to receive my order, which was a bit overcooked (2pm on a Sunday). I like the way they do their nachos – it isn’t just a big pile of stuff. They layer out the toppings, then bake the plate so the (real) cheese melts and gets a little chewy. The ranch dressing is a nice touch and artfully applied.

Hello Elaine and Big Woods friends. Here’s the thing. We LOVE you and highly recommend you to others all the time. Now……I love the pork nachos but, yeah, I’m sort of agreeing with another reviewer. What has happened to the pork lately? Used to be awesome and now kinda dry. Also your delish nachos have fallen off a bit – pork dry and not as much pork as there used to be. Also maybe left in the broiler just a bit too long??? So, yes a bit dry and not as yummy as before. I’m coming back tho!!! Get those nachos together folks!!!

As we were traveling & stopped for gas, I googled local restaurants. What a nice surprise! Located at a country club. It was welcoming and casual. Very peaceful view of the golf course. Burger & grilled bourbon chicken sandwich were very good. Drank a seasonal Pumpkin Spice Lager with cinnamon sugar rim. Yum! Would definitely recommend!

Met friends here for a birthday dinner. They came from Columbus, we came from Mooresville. We were all looking forward to it. The service was excellent, beer & wine were good but the food was nothing special. 3 had (different toppings) pizza & I had Thai street tacos. None of the 3 liked the pizza & the street tacos were very dry—really could have used some kind of sauce (maybe they forgot the sauce??) It was just the steak, shredded radish, green onion & cilantro– no sauce. We all said we’ll try somewhere else next time -even though we enjoyed seeing our friends & the beautiful golf course view–the food wasn’t nearly as good as we expected.

Beyond fantastic service from their friendly staff. A lot of beer options to choose from on tap and their food is absolutely awesome every time I go here to eat. The pizza is fantastic with a 10” or 16” option (16” pictured). Definitely will recommend when others ask where to eat in the area.

Our hotel recommended Big Woods and we were very glad they did. We were not expecting to find such great food and such nice distillery offerings. My fish sandwich and my wife’s burger were very good. After we tasted some of the whiskeys we left with 4 nice bottles. The ladies tending the bar were friendly and knowledgable.

The food and service was great. I had the Candied Bacon Bomb Burger. It’s literally an explosion of flavor in your mouth! It’s one of those combinations of ingredients that is just right. It will be difficult to order anything else on future visits. The service was excellent as well.
