Had a GREAT experience at biguns today! It was my first time here and brought my family out to lunch. We chose the right place to go! We all shared our meals so we can get a taste of everything. We had the brisket, pork, ribs and country fried steak. Brisket tasted really good. Pork was delicious. Ribs were big and delicious! The country fried steak was out of this world! For sides we had Mac n cheese, collard greens, sweet potato fries, coleslaw and mashed potato’s! Everything was delicious. And the corn bread was moist and slightly sweet I just wish the collards had a little more flavor (I’m so picky with my greens ) overall great experience!❤️

My wife and I ordered certified Angus brisket melt with cheese and grilled onions on toasted bread and side. The sandwich had two generous cuts of brisket that were 90% fat. One piece on my wife’s sandwich had a 1/4 in of meat on the top and bottom and 3 in of fat in the middle. Fat isn’t very tasty. Wouldn’t recommend eating there. Almost $30 for two fat sandwiches.

We have never had a bad meal here! Today like always we definitely had fresh fresh barbecue! The brisket was melt in your mouth, the ribs were perfect to chew off the bone, and the chopped pork was amazing!! Loved the greens too! We can’t wait to go back, The service is always spectacular as well!! Today I got the pick three combo because I wanted to try a little bit of everything and my husband got the barbecue pork grilled cheese sandwich and wow it was really really good! Plenty of leftovers!! Ok that’s a lie. I ate a LOT haha I have one rib and one slice of brisket left. That’s all from this picture. In my defense I did not eat breakfast and I was really hungry ; ).

$5616.00 is amount we spent here eating breakfast last year. We frequented this place so much because service was always outstanding and food was good. Now unfortunately it seems that we have a new owner who of course decided that all the loyal customers who had this place packed everyday were just idiots who ate here because of the decor, and they decided to make changes to the food. Ordered the same sausage I always order and was horrified by what I was served. Had zero taste, was white inside and had the texture of cottage cheese. Not sure of all the meats but the bacon is now pre-cooked. No one eats here because its cheap. We all eat here because the food is good. Would much rather spend a a little more change for eadible food. I really do hope this gets resolved before another successful restaurant goes down the drain.

Was at Bigun’s Friday, May12, my friend ordered fried fish was good but only one piece, a skimpy serving for $13.95. I ordered the Carolina pulled pork sandwich, had several clumps of just fat but, very tasty. The Mac n cheese tasted like it came out of a box. The Mac n cheese use to be the best ever, made with good white sharp cheese. I will be back but the new owners need to do better.

My only complaint is the hours and the flies. How you gonna have a barbecue place close at 2 PM ? Call it a bagel shop at that point. The hours are well lazy would be an understatement in the rare occasion I can get in here when they’re actually open it’s always great tho. They never serve dinner as a BBQ place they lose a lot by not doing so. Also they need a big zapper or something for all the flies inside not sure what’s with all the flies in here but they haven’t ever been shut down or anything.
