I wanted to love this place so bad! I went because of the pictures of the cornmeal breading on the fish unfortunately they have switched to a more flour based breading recently and although it was crunchy it was not what I was expecting. We ordered an appetizer or gizzards, the flavor was fantastic! They were fresh and hot but a little too chewy for me. I had the whole catfish and fries. It was good but didn’t have the breading I thought it would. My husband got the catfish fillets, he felt like there was more breading than fish and it tasted really muddy and fatty. Since he didn’t like those we ordered the chicken wings. They said they were smoked then fried. I thought this sounded like a unique and delicious combo. Unfortunately there was not any smoke flavor. This wings were still good and the buffalo sauce was great.

Stopped in for lunch with a few of my co-workers and definitely glad we did. Food came out hot and was quite delicious. Beignets were really good with a little bit of crisp on the outside, and soft and pillowy on the inside. Only thing, and why only four stars on the overall, is that it was a little bit more pricey than I was expecting… nothing outrageous, but I was figuring on spending around $15 and it was a bit over $22 for the meal and drink. But with the way the economy has been lately, with inflation and all, that shouldn’t be too unexpected.

Fried catfish was full of flavor and seasoning with the option to be fried hard which we chose. The wings were crunchy and savory with out sauce. We got it on the side to try and the sauces were good too. Fries yummy crunch hot and satisfying. Definitely a great place to eat while in Omaha.

It is a nice local restaurant. The catfish is a little pricey but very tasty. Would be awesome with a little spicy salsa also. Portions are good. Presentation is solid.

Tried the beignets with chocolate dipping sauce. They were extremely fresh and delicious. The staff was super friendly. Overall a great experience for a quick dessert but will be going back to try more off their menu soon!

I ordered takeout from here for the first time, just today. I ordered ahead through their online service they offer on their website. By the time I arrived, I figured my ordered would be ready for pickup, but in fact, they never received it. They had to manually look for it. So they found it and the kind gentleman and cook, was very polite, apologetic and kind. He made sure he was on top of it and it took no time to whip it right up. I waited in their dining area which was very clean, had great island vibe music playing.

The gizzards were hands down the best I’ve ever had! It was cooked fresh and tasted so yummy! The sweet tea was pedestrian, but I can’t judge them there. The atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. Staff service was good. 10/10 highly recommended!

It is expensive and sorry to say I ordered catfish filets that were not good. Barely edible! Not cooked right! Was all crust, hard and was very disappointed. That was the second time I tried this place, the first time I ordered pick up on my lunch break and they forgot my mozzarella sticks, had the chicken sandwich that was okay but way over priced, I left a tip for pickup order on overpriced food and was shorted. Will not be going back here. Fool me once…fool me twice. No thank you

Stopped in for the first time for lunch. Catfish fillets are the best I’ve ever had. Fries were delicious, too. I’ll be back to try the chicken wings and beignets. Great local place.

This was the 1st and last time I will make that drive. I got a 4 piece fried fish with fries and and drink for $30. I asked specifically for it to be fried hard and it was not fried hard at all. There was no seasoning at all on the fish or at least salt on the fries.They only had 2 sides fries and Cole slaw which I didn’t like either choice. The customer service was great, the facility was clean and the wait wasn’t long at all
