In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas.
We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. I LOVED THE energy of this restaurant when I visited last week at the end of a very eventful, however draining day. It was extremely refreshing to walk in and see smiles and happy workers, genuinely happy, not very often u come across that at Bills. And very cute employees. Yes, very cute. Employees with genuinely happy smiles not so much. This location had both and the guys look happy to. Got to give PROPS TO THE young lady that was managing that team. She was doing an excellent job (on the side I asked her how old she was because I was very surprised of her report with the crew. She didn’t wanna say it out loud, so I’m going to keep that sense of secrecy for her sake, and just say that young lady is extremely skilled, and needs to be made an example of for the awesome job that she’s doing. )

Went in today wesdnesday at 11ish wanted fresh chicken the tall lady manager said sure and when she brought it to me and I sat down with family it was hot and fresh when she mentioned don’t burn your tongue I thought she was just playing .I love this place clean dining room fresh food tasty and delicious wasn’t disappointed manager even had a sense of humor most people don’t even speak to there customers. When I go places I would want the same feeling like I’m at home . Thanks bills keep up the good work

Ordered Mac n cheese yesterday, and were told there’d be a wait. Waited for a while in line basically about the time they told us the wait would be for a fresh batch. Got in and paid, got our order and started to take off. This is where your reputation precedes you: pulled up to check our order, and lo and behold no m n c. Not once at the window was there a mention that there was still a wait for it. Then, to make it worse, went inside for another 6 min wait(we’re at 15 mins by now) only to be told it still wasn’t ready. After another 7 mins passed, went back in to finally get our order. The miscommunication was horrible on your part, and the service was terrible. Mind you, this was peak time on a Sunday, and being ill prepared for the prices you charge is unfair and unacceptable. Please be better!

Good experience with the actual food. I typically just order take out as I work nearby. But what’s interesting here is that if you order to go, the waiting area is hot. Why? Would this be allowed to stand. at a Northside Bill Millers? Seems odd that other locations are in better shape than restaurants on the Southside even though Bill Millers started on Southeast side. What a shame!

My family and I ordered chicken and tenders…the whole order was cold even the fries then the bread was cold and hard. We let manager know and they replaced our order this time the chicken was not cooked all the way still pink inside and we never got our tenders was told to wait 7mins…20 mins went by and nothing we just ended up getting our refund.
