In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas.
We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. Do not come to this location after 6 pm because this food was disgusting. Went inside to get food, was gross and old, then ordered something to go and it also tasted old and looked old, and I’m pretty sure that’s a bug or at least looks like it.

Ordered chicken fingers. Gravy had no flavor. Overcooked dry chicken fingers. Will eat the brisket & egg taco, with some of the crisp trimmings. That’s a 5 star taco right there.

Ordered a #4 meal last night, my friend ordered the same. Her meal came out right away. After she was halfway done eating, I went up to ask about my food. The order taker went to the back and shrugged and said “oh they’re probably still making it.” I go sit down. Maybe ten minutes go by, my friend is FINISHED eating and I still haven’t gotten my food. My friend went up again to ask where my order was. The order taker who also took her order acted like he had no idea what she was talking about. I walked up again to show them my receipt. He said “oh yeah.” And walked away. Maybe two more minutes later he handed me my food, not even on a tray. Just the plate and gravy in both hands. It was a very odd experience all together.

Lately this Bill Millers has had some bad mistakes on my orders. Have been going here because it’s on my way work. I work over nights and stop here for lunch meals. One time I asked for the 4 pc chicken tenders and got two piece regular chicken, another time asked for tenders again and they where too dry, and some here there discrepancies but to much to list. I like bill millers but this location just not getting their stuff right. Today July 20,2022 stoped to get salad for lunch. I swear they used to be bigger or so I thought. Didn’t bother to see it it was in its brown bag and placed it away for lunch later. Well lunch comes around and I’m really disappointed in this salad. $9.00 for small pieces of chicken and thin serving container. I’m like wow they really out done themselves. My bill millers is the opposite way to work but ima have to go there out of my way because to many disappointments from this location. Check out pics.

Fav. Bills location! Who ever trains the employees at this location, needs to start training at some of the other locations. I will make the journey all the way to this location, food is always hot and fresh. Staff is always friendly and Manager’s are always visible.
