Billie Jean’s Cafe is a hidden gem in Baton Rouge. The food is some of the best Soul Food in the area, hands down. The place is tucked away in a shopping center. It’s got a cool atmosphere with music and awesome people working behind the counter. I always feel welcomed and the food is top notch. The service is quick, made to order, reasonably priced, with daily plate lunch options to choose from. I’ve eaten here multiple times and have chosen different lunch options, they have not let me down yet! Definitely a good lunch spot and I would recommend it to anyone. The Mac and Cheese is absolutely worth the drive. Also try the chicken and waffles. The spices they use on the chicken are so good.

Placed a order on door dash , and paid. Went there and they said “ I don’t know what to tell you , our door dash isn’t even working” left out came back in even though I already spent 23.95 on the order to REORDER and it was a problem. “She coming back in” . It was really unprofessional and GHETTO . Would NOT recommend. The two women with locs were VERY rude!

It was not good for my first visit. I went in to inquire about the menu special for the day. As I was waiting to hear back from someone I stepped out to make a call and was about to leave. I turned around to go back to place order after hearing back from the person I was waiting on and they told me they were closed for the day. In less than 5 minutes as another customer was walking out at 1:55. They don’t close until 4 pm but was not willing to serve me. Then we wonder why we don’t support each other’s business.

Shrimp pasta was the worse I ever tasted!! It tasted like it had extra grease in it also it tasted like it had like a pot taste if that makes since to anyone. I never thought shrimp pasta could be so nasty!! I wasnt happy I threw whole plate away, they need another cook or better dishes to cook them in!! First time there and my last!!
