Finally got to try Billy’s and the food was good. Ordered the cheesy Italian beef. The beef was disappointing it definitely wasn’t homemade beef and it tasted like the rubbery pre-bought Italian meat that you just warm up. The melted cheese on top of the beef saved it for me. I wouldn’t order it again because there’s better italian beefs restaurants in the area. The fries were delicious crinkle cut fries and cooked crispy without me asking. I would come back again to try their spicy chicken sandwich. I love their extensive menu. 17.00 for a beef and fries. Place was clean and surprisingly a lot of seating.

I have yet to have a bad experience at Billy’s. I’ve had the beef, hot dogs, and burgers, all of which have been delicious. This time I had the bacon cheeseburger – the bun was soft and gently toasted, burger was juicy, cheese was nice and melted, bacon wasn’t wimpy, and the veggies were crisp and flavorful. For about 6 bucks it was a tasty and filling dinner. Can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you like portillo’s. If you’re in the palatine area make sure to visit this gem.

Went into Billy’s because I hadn’t been there in awhile. Got a cheesy beef with small drink and small fries with a soup. Spent just under 30 bucks. Food was good but I will definitely not be going back anytime soon. Way to much for the portion of food they give you.
