Great bbq. We went recently on the road headed back to Houston. I had the loaded potato with turkey. Others with our party had brisket and chopped beef. The sauce was a vinegar base, and very tasty! Prices were reasonable. We will be back!

Last time I was in here was probably 20 years ago, and I must say the standards are completely up to par and Billy would be proud of his two children for carrying on his tradition for fantastic central Texas barbecue.

Food was really great. I had the baked potato with chopped brisket on top. The potato was soft and large. The brisket had a great flavor and needed no sauce. I got the sauce on the side and it was so good I ended up adding it to my potato in parts.

Hands down one of my go to places in Bastrop when I go visit. My wife LOVES their loaded baked potato! She always gets the chopped beef, I’m particular to the turkey sandwich or the chopped beef sandwich. The food is just soo good. Can’t really make a bad decision here. Also family owned and operated, and it shows when it comes to the service. Very nice and helpful people anytime you go in. If you haven’t tried this place you need to.

We decided to bypass the big name on the corner and try Billy’s. Tucked away is a treasure!! The sweetest staff in town! They served up delicious burnt ends, amazing ribs and great sides to tie it all together. We felt like family and will definitely be back!

My son said this place has the best pecan pie that they’ve found. I ordered the loaded bake potato with chopped beef. The potato is huge! The meat is piled high! Everything I tasted here was soo good. Tasted some ribs, potato salad, and cream corn. Literally everything was finger lickin awesome!!
