I can’t even begin to describe this place. To put it simply the food and service is incredible with great diversity and taste in the menu and if your understanding very kind, helpful and friendly staff. In addition the ambience is very nice with the right amount or balance of luxury and normality if you know the right times to go. All in all this is my favorite place for lunch to go to in all of Birmingham and is just a pure gem, holding a special place in my heart.

Hair was found on sushi, manager and waitress threw a fit and started shouting at me stating “it’s not a big deal, we’ll just make you another”. AVOID this place by all means! Go to Noble Fish in Clawson and get the best sushi you’ll ever have in your life.

This place has the best spicy tuna rolls I’ve ever had in my life. The sushi chef here used to work at another sushi restaurant near my home but started his own business here. Today I came here for the first time and tried his special spicy tuna I hadn’t had in around 5-6 years. Still top notch and deserves all my praise..

Must try the Tuna pizza – a favorite! It is spicy tuna on small crispy rice cakes. Overall, sushi is always consistently fresh and delicious. The place is clean. It’s a small place and gets extremely busy. Has an extreme high volume of take-outs from open to close. One of my 3 favourite Sushi places in Michigan, next to Sushi Take in Rochester, and One World Market in Novi. FRESH. FRESH. FRESH. Highly recommend it here! Worth the wait!

To all those who are reading reviews, To regarding the recent review posted by “A.S”, I am a waitress that works at Birmingham Sushi and was there that night. To be exact, which multiple customers that can attest to, that night the customer “A.S” let us know about the hair. We fully took responsibility and apologized multiple times about the hair and was willing to remove an entire roll off of their bill or have it be remade. They were not happy about that and wanted their entire meal for free. This customer threatened us that he would post a review if we didn’t. We told him that if he wanted to, we were in no place to stop him, but to not threaten us. Not only did he threaten us, servers but the owner himself. On top of that, multiple customers told us that they overheard him discussing with his friend that he would leave without paying.After, customer “A.S” started to scream at these customers because they were “looking” at him. We, as a restaurant, take full responsibility for the mistake and we’re willing to compensate, but because our compensation wasn’t good enough for this customer, the aftermath made us fear for the safety of our staff and customers. Threatening and harassing the staff and customers is not okay.

This Sushi Cafe is THE PLACE you must visit! New owner, Mikey is a sushi master! He knows what sushi is! There are really surprising rolls and sushi Mikey created such as “Salmon on the Beach(this is astonishing!).” Moreover, the atmosphere of the restaurant is pretty cozy and comfortable to spend time with good ppl eating good and healthy food. I’ll definitely visit again and bring my people. Thank you Mikey, you are the best!
