Took a bit to get food but it was worth the wait. I think the service could be better. When they brought our food out, it took several trips and longer to get everything. The meals came with drinks and we ended up getting up to get our own because the server did not bring them. She seemed to be the only one tending to everyone so that may be the reason.

We are visiting our daughter who is in the army and currently at Fort Sam Houston. We wanted to take her something for lunch that wasn’t on base and came across Birrieria Estilo Jalisco. When we arrived at the restaurant we had no clue what to order. The young man and young lady at the counter explained everything on the menu to us and helped us finally decide what we wanted. They were very kind and patient with us. The young lady even brought us a sample of their birria to try. It was delicious! This is definitely one of our favorite places now. We got our food to go and everything was packaged up so perfectly. As we were eating, people could smell the food and kept asking us where we got it from because they planned to stop by the restaurant for dinner. 🙂 If you want delicious food at a great place with the friendliest people then be sure to visit Birrieria Estilo Jalisco!! We will definitely be back!!

Tried the soursop and lemonade-cucumber agua frescas and the hardshell birria tacos. So much flavor, and they NEVER got soggy despite how much we dipped them in the consomme. Took someone here for their first taste of San Antonio (they’re from California– boo!!!) and he was very impressed! Plenty of parking, and the restroom was nice and clean.

We had our order to go and all the food was hot still back at the house. The portion sizes for the price are absolutely fantastic. The flavor was 100% there, and the staff were very friendly. Our order did end up being wrong – we were given chicken tamales instead of pork. The chicken tamales aren’t great, they were dry and very crumbly, but the rest of the food made up for that without doubt. Highly recommend and we will be frequent visitors!

Had the pleasure of trying this place for the first time yesterday. It was soooo delicious, that we had to come back the next day! Not only were they the first birria restaurant in San Antonio, but their consome, tortillas and salsa are the absolute BEST! The tacos are enormous and you won’t leave hungry, I promise. We used to go to that place on Culebra Rd, never again! The owner Juan is not only very polite, but personally checks on your order to ensure your food is served hot. Give this place a try, you won’t find a better birria spot in all of San Antonio. Continued blessings to you Mr. Juan!

So far one of the best places to eat Birria in so many ways: tacos, caldo, burrito , etc.etc…the fresa tamale was delicious! You can taste the sweet condensed milk in it.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! Tucked away off nacogdoches, it’s not easily seen! The food always comes out piping hot. Absolutely delicious Birria! I always get the Machete Birria taco. Staff is friendly and bilingual. I’m trying to learn Español so I can speak fluently, one day 🙂
