Friendly and fast service. Everything I got was fantastic. The oxtails were amazing. Best cornbread I’ve had in awhile. All the sides were great. The peach/ pineapple tea drink was so good too. Will definitely be back!

I’m in town and ordered delivery. Best thing I have had in recent memory. Wow. Baes four sides: mac & chz, greens (they gave me cabbage but that was a very happy mistake, now I don’t know if I’ll order the greens next time because the cabbage was so damn good), stuffing, and yams. Saved the yams for last for dessert and they didn’t disappoint. Just eat here.

I ordered takeout for me and my children. The atmosphere was so welcoming and comfortable that I wanted to stay there to eat. The food was absolutely satisfying! We had the fried chicken dinner with candied yams and mac, and fried catfish dinner with greens and candied yams. For dessert we had banana pudding and strawberry cheesecake! I will be back very soon because I love it! Go try it NOW and eat inside to get the full experience!

Great service and delicious food. All the sides were better than they had to be, the Mac and cheese and greens were the best. That cornbread is perfect! The smothered chops can’t be beat unless you are in someone’s kitchen and the catfish is right up there with the best. I can’t wait to go back and try the oxtail dinner and eat way too much Mac and cheese.

It’s restaurant week in Visit South Bend and my husband and I went to Bishop & Bae’s Soul Food Restaurant for date night. Great food and it’s a must visit restaurant! I loved the corn bread and catfish. The peach cobbler was so fulfilling.

Great food! Excellent service. Everything is fresh and made to order. Every member in this establishment treats you with respect and makes sure your meal is made to perfection. The restaurant is very clean, dine in service fantastic. There isn’t anything on the menu that would cause disappointment. Check them out!!! I recommend the catfish dinner.

This was my second time visiting this place! The service was great everyone was nice and friendly! I ordered 2 sides of greens, Mac and cheese, candied yams and hot water cornbread! Now my thing is it was to go, so when I got home and opened the the bowls of greens they were mostly stems and had NO juice in either bowl for the cornbread?! I was very disappointed with the food as a whole, I was expecting it to be much better!

The service was very nice and the atmosphere was good! However, the food, portions, and price do not match. Our table ordered every side amongst the 6 of us at the table. It was NOT good. Black-eyed peas and sweet potatoes were hard. Mac and cheese tasted like plain macaroni. The spaghetti was dry. The cabbage was meh… The catfish was undercooked. The pork chops and oxtail were very good. However, it is not enough for me to visit again. $20+ on meal, drinks cost separate, and a 4% surcharge for using your credit/debit card.
