To set your expectations, we had a high bill at the end of the night, but for GOOD REASON. We asked for the special Japanese imported sushi and it was incredibly high quality and delicious. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was a pivotal moment to how I appreciate high grade sushi. The bar has been raised, and the chefs’ preparation excelled at making the fish the hero. Don’t expect flamboyant special rolls you’d get from your comfort sushi restaurant, which there is a time and place for. For my sashimi, nigiri, and temaki lovers, this place is for you.

Sundays happy hour handrolls are a really good deal, very tasty and crunchy all of them. There’s not too many places anymore where You can find a $5 deal for such an amazing quality. Staff very welcoming and friendly. I’ll definitely be back very soon!!!!

New sushi restaurant in New Orleans built in a nice building with great modern/industrial appeal.

Holy smokes, this place is incredible. Definitely recommend sitting at the sushi bar. You can order from your waiter or the chefs right in front of you. The service was outstanding, and we followed the sushi chefs recommend for hand rolls, sashimi, and sushi rolls. It’s all about the fish and fresh flavors, and it shows. Definitely make a reservation for the best experience!

Most things we ordered were a miss. When we specifically let the waitress know there was an issue with the salmon (i think it is called a spin on salmon), we saw her tell a guy at the sushi counter and he responded negatively to our feedback. We were not looking for anything free but the feedback was 100% valid. The fish was both chewy and had a bad taste. The Mars roll had tempura shrimp that was mushy and made it weird to eat. Just nothing outstanding. Definitely not going back.

This is exactly the sushi restaurant I’ve been waiting for in NOLA — high-quality enough for a nice date night without having to drop hundreds on an omakase tasting. All the rolls we had were delicious, fresh and inventive. I loved how creative they were, like the beekeeper roll with fried banana, avocado and honey. The maui waui was topped with outstandingly buttery kanpachi and macadamia nuts, and the satsuma salmon was beautifully light and citrusy. With happy hour discounts on hand rolls and drinks, we paid around $60 per person (pre-tip), which is more than reasonable for such fresh and delicious food. Definitely will be coming again!

Holy moly. This sushi is insanely fresh and delicious. Our amazing waitress Olivia was the best guide on what items to select too. Everything was great but that hand roll was next level.

Absolutely love this place! They have great sushi and other Japanese food and do $5 hand rolls and $5 sake shots on Sunday. Plus they make some mean cocktails.

The quality of the fish is unmatched in the city and the artists behind the counter know just what to do with it. Everything was expertly seasoned down to the perfectly-cooked rice. The price of our meal seemed absolutely fair for what we received, but there are plenty of under $50 options if you’re on a budget but want a lovely experience. The menu is well crafted and intriguing, and we look forward to eating our way through it. Nice room, nice vibe, superior service, no notes.
