First time trying this place because it was referred to me. The environment was alive very busy music was good for dining in. My opinion on the food is ehh I had the general TSO combo it has a weird taste to it, tho I could eat it but the savory flavor was not there. My girlfriend tried the vegan general TSO chicken and it was also ehhh, maybe it was the sauce but would not prefer. Might have to try it again but surely this kind of Chinese is more on the freshly made side which is good but it’s missing something .

I think about this restaurant so often it’s crazy I’ve only been here once on my bday. It’s a blessing in disguise it’s almost an hour away because I would be there every week. I had the vegan Bamsizzle and it was boom bam delicious. Those dumplings immaculate.

This was the worst Asian food I ever tried in my life. I am shocked with the amount of 5 star reviews. Size’s are huge, so I understand why people go there, cheaper + huge portions. I am really not picky with Asian food, but I couldn’t eat it because it didn’t have any flavor. I have never tried Asian food without any flavor in it and let me not start about the dumplings. Ingredients are super cheap and they care more about the quantity than quality. There are so many better places to go.

Have been getting takeout from here for 17 years. They have great vegetarian dishes, lots of vegetable sides, vegan ‘ribs’, delicious brown rice options. We love the options of ‘dry’ vegetables without heavy sauces. I can’t remember them getting an order wrong. My husband loves the Ginger Chicken.

Finally figured I’d leave a review. Beef and broccoli is my favorite dish when getting Chinese takeout. Most restaurants overcook the beef and undercook the broccoli. Black bamboo gets it exactly right with consistency. The beef slices are nice and soft and the broccoli isn’t super hard.
