First time actually eating here. Had take out before but you can’t experience the whole Black Bear Diner effect with out sitting down and eating.

A great local place for families or couples. Food and service were good. Large portions and home style cooking. Huge variety of food to choose from. Glad the owner was open to consider installing a bike rack in the future.

Didn’t realize this restaurant was a chain until I realized I ate at one in Boise, Idaho. Very friendly service but food was average. Service started great and it wasn’t that busy but had to call served several times before she came to check on us. Next time I’ll visit a small business. The food here wasn’t worth writing home about.

We didn’t have a good time when we first found this place but decided o try it again. Wasn’t disappointed! Great service and absolutely love how they decorated for the holidays! Good vibes all around. Food’s a bit expensive but was good

Great restaurant. We only come occasionally but every time has been a good experience. The food was good and tasted fresh. I had the California omelet which was very good. It had a lot of mushrooms and avocado on the top. Some in our group got the kids chocolate chip pancakes which were perfect for the youngest but the 11 year old was still hungry after. It wasn’t quite enough food. Just be aware bigger kids might need more food. Our server was very nice and helpful. One of the napkins on our silverware bundle had a food spot on it before anyone used it but that’s really the only thing we noticed that wasn’t clean. Otherwise the restaurant felt very clean. The kids in the group enjoyed the games on their placemats. My husband enjoyed the fresh squeezed orange juice. Great experience.

Waited five minutes before a waitress acknowledged the line of people starting to form. Food was delicious and filling.

I bring my daughter to breakfast here every Thursday. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Today our waitress was Cindy R. She is one of our usual servers and she is absolutely incredible. She is always so kind to my daughter, and makes everyone smile. The food here is always delicious, great portions and decent prices. We always look forward to our weekly breakfast at Black Bear!

Normally we have a great experience here, this time not as much. They messed up 2 out of 3 orders, one of the twice. They did not remake the order, just tried to scrape part of the mistake off, which led to the food still not being able to be eaten (due to allergies, which is why the food was ordered the way it was). Def not a good practice on the kitchens part, as doing that could literally kill someone.

I usually don’t leave bad reviews on places. I just don’t say anything or rate them. This however had to be said. For the times I did eat here, I was wondering why the funny treatment. Now, on Thanksgiving day, my family went here to dine in for the holiday. To only notice once we were seated, we take a look around and see that they only had ppl of a particular color seated in one section of the restaurant. The host made sure we were seated in that section. When we asked to sit elsewhere, he told us no. As we ate, by the way the food was NOT great and even brought out to us cold, they continued to seat ppl like us in the same section. To not cause a scene, we just finished our food after sending it back to be reheated, paid and left. Now I know why the funny treatment from times I came here in the past. Not saying all Black Bear Diners are like this, because they are not, we just will not be returning back to this particular establishment. Respectfully.

Normally, I am always very pleased with the food. Great diversity of menu options of comfort meals is the norm. However, today’s chicken fried steak and biscuits were served with diluted thin gravy with absolutely NO flavor or spices. I hope that I can buy some proper gravy from the store to make it palatable.
