Hidden gem in the historical part of downtown Hondo, Tx. This place was so well decorated and clean, it really had a comfortable home style feel to it. Our waitress was so nice and friendly. We showed up a little after breakfast during the week. There wasn’t anyone else in there, but the music was at a good volume. We were served promptly and the food was great. I loved my breakfast sandwich and fresh fruit. The Coffee was perfect and the had a ton of options. Definitely stopping here next time we come through.

Always the best service in Hondo. Every time we visit, we are welcomed in like best friends. The atmosphere is always calm and relaxing. Best decor around. Every dish and drink our family has tried has been delicious. The Chicken Salad Sandwich is by far my favorite dish. They always have the freshest fruit and veggies! They’ve added new pastries recently and they look as good as they taste!

This morning, I had to drive in to Hondo for some business. When I needed a nice pick me up, I did not expect to find such a nice location here in town. The service was quick, the interior was beautifully decorated, and the coffee/food was delicious. If I ever mind myself in town again, I will definitely be back.

A group of 9 women made reservations for lunch 3 weeks in advance and confirmed the day before our visit. When we arrived the two employees there said they didn’t know we were coming. Their words “the manager never tells us anything”. We help get tables arranged to accommodate our group. We order and receive our food. Each person ordered one of the hot sandwiches. I ordered the smoked pastrami melt with sauerkraut. It came with 3 or 4 slices of what looked like grocery store packaged pressed meat, two paper thin pieces of Swiss and one tablespoon of sauerkraut. Many of us actually thought the sauerkraut had been left out until we found it between two of the slices of meat. It was served with a small scoop of very simple potatoe salad. It was way overpriced for what we got $12.99.

Amazing place to socialize or conduct business! Two private rooms to conduct meetings and a great vibe for entertaining! i had the hot chocolate and breakfast sandwich. Starbucks who? They don’t even come close to Black Creek Coffee and Wine Bar!

Went during very quiet time. The rooms in the back are decorated nicely. Warm and inviting. Only had a glass of wine and a cappuccino, but they were both tasty.

I am continually amazed of how many places offer coffee but very few; I believe three (3) actually offer Decaf Coffee. Why is that? Is it harder to make? I know those that make Decaf normally sell it all most of the time. Just wondering why the discrimination against Decaf Coffee.
