We were traveling through the area, so stopped to get food at 6:45, and the doors were locked even though both their website and the door said it closed at 8. it wasn’t until we got there that we read that the kitchen closed at 7 even though the tavern doesn’t close until 8. Why even be open past brunch on Sundays if you’re going to close during dinner? Now we are driving twenty minutes in the opposite direction for pizza. thanks for that

Amazing place to stop if passing through or on a weekend vacation. Staff is very friendly have a large menu for drinks or food and Saturdays are brisket days be sure to ask about it you won’t be disappointed. If you are into high proof whiskey this is the place for you too. If you like booze and great food bottom line stop here for a good time.

BBQ is excellent. Indoor and outdoor dining with the weather’s blessing. Beside a nice park. Part of a revitalization project in the area. Ownership is from out of country. Taking a focus on Bourbon with some help from local colleges and state wide suppliers.

WOW! Black diamond tavern is the best restaurant in Perry Ohio by far. Our server Amanda was really attentive and super nice. I highly recommend that dozer burger without a doubt – very flavorful. We’ll definitely be returning when we go camping up here next.

Been there 2 times. Once was great, the 2nd time mediocre. Ordered the same thing each time..buffalo wings. The pizza oven was down and there was only one fry basket we were told. Which I guess was why my wings were on the under done side. The beer is good but the food is nothing special.
