They communicated with me well to make sure all of our needs were met. They allowed us access to the party room early for decorating, and went above and beyond to accommodate us. I ashamedly did not know they were where they are. We are soooo glad we found them! The food we got today was absolutely delicious! We ordered the Bond Burger… 1/2 pound of a delish burger topped with a boatload of provolone and bacon. It was amazing! We also got the Crandon Steak Hoagie…seriously? Absolutely tasty steak smothered in sauteed peppers and onions cradled in provolone cheese. All this goodness accompanied by the most delicious fair style fries!! Give them a go…your taste buds will thank you!

We had our 40 year class reunion for the Girard High School Class of 1979. It was such a great time. The establishment was closed to the public until 8 PM so we could have our party. And that was on a Saturday night, which is probably one of their busiest nights. They reopened to the public at 8 PM and had live music at that time. Thank you for catering to our needs. The food was delicious. It was awesome catching up with about 60 of our classmates.

Food was good for the price. Prime rib was delicious. Would have rated better but the 3 beers we tried to order were all unavailable even though they were listed on the menu. Gave up ordering a drink and just went with water.

First visit since new ownership. Sat at the bar waiting for service, never being acknowledged by the bartender. 4 guys sat next to us, was greeted by the bartender and served! Left and won’t go back. Customer service is as important as the food!

Went for the grand re-opening this past weekend! Glad that we did! The food was delicious! The fish dinner had two large pieces with hand cut fries! Very tasty! My daughter had the boneless wings and was pleasantly surprised that they had multiple selections for a variety of sauces to choose from. Mixed drinks and a variety of beers and wines were on point! Great food, fun atmosphere in a beautiful historical building! Will be frequenting the Black Horse again due to our positive dining experience!

I went with two friends on reopening night and was disappointed in our food. I got mild chicken wings and they honestly just tasted “off”. My friend got a burger and it was burnt to a crisp. Absolutely black. I came back and got their City Chicken with corn fritters and it was amazing. The corn fritters tasted fantastic. So at this point for me the food is hit and miss, but I can’t stop thinking about the corn fritters. I would really put those on the menu as an app.
