My son wanted some pizza so I decided to try this place since it has good reviews. It was the middle of the day on a Sunday so it wasn’t busy at all and it’s in the basement part of the building which wasn’t a problem. They have 2 arcade games, and art for sell on the wall. The Detroit style pizza we got was very good and our waitress was very polite and attentive. Would definitely recommend giving this place a shot.

First time and it was spectacular! Accidentally dropped one of our pizzas on the ground and walked inside and said we would pay for another, but Murf was leaving for the night and the kitchen was closed, regardless they gave up one of his Tripper Harrison’s to replace our dropped one! Absolutely the best experience, will be back! Phillip had some great recommendations and was very tentative!

Okay, first: Detroit style pizza. Wha??? Think premium ingredients on perfectly crisped focaccia bread. Amazing! (And this from a girl who spent a decade getting indoctrinated in Chicago.) Second: service. I sat outside, alone, mid-afternoon on a weekday (read: perfect recipe for getting completely ignored). Not only was Phillip attentive, he made stellar recommendations and checked in often (but not obtrusively) to make sure I had everything I needed. Suffice to say I’ll be back! With friends! 🙂

Best pizza I have had in a very long time! Fresh ingredients, so many choices and combinations. Drinks were excellent as well. Fresh margs and quality old fashioned. The Nashville Hot Brussels sprouts – do not miss these – truly decadent! Friendly service and plenty of outside courtyard seating with Mountain View.

We love the pizza – best in Black Mountain. They serve both Tavern (thin crust) and Detroit (thick). We always get our pizzas quickly and hot out of the oven. Murph who manages the place is friendly and always remembers us and greets us. He knows his beers and can recommend something you’ll like. We look forward to our visits.
