Excellent pizza pies here! My nephews wanted to try the Loco Moco and pepperoni rolls. Crust is hand tossed stretched thin, good sauce to toppings ratio, not overloaded or greasy from too much cheese. All ingredients were fresh and good quality. The pepperoni rolls were delicious too. Perfectly cooked, soft inside and crunchy crust, excellent flavor with herbs inside with the stuffed cheese and pepperoni. Stunning location overlooking the ocean. Staff was fast and courteous. Black Rock Pizza is absolutely worthy of holding the best pizza in Hawaii title. We can’t wait to try everything else on the menu here! Aloha

I loved this place. We had the ‘Not so Hawaiin’ pizza. We switched the ham for chicken. It was perfect. The pineapple were not too big pieces so it was yum. This place has nice drinks too. We had their special mai tai (they make the juice for it) and the sunset mimosa. Loved the Mai Tai. It has a beautiful ocean view too.

Ordered take out at the newly opened Kona location. The pepperoni rolls were the best “pepperoni thing” I’ve had. This concoction is loaded with pepperoni and cheese. The breading is doughy and flaky at the same time. Dip in the fresh marinara sauce or not. It’s super good either way.

Love this place! The personal pizza is amazing! Also enjoyed the cannoli for dessert. The staff is excellent, the service was fast and accurate, the food was fantastic, and the ambiance was cool and welcoming. Will visit again when we come back to the Big Island.

OMG so delicious ! I had the meat lover and bbq chicken pizza. Both pizzas were outstanding. The crust was crispy and the pizza sauce tasted fresh. It was cooked with fresh ingredients to perfection. Excellent customer service The restaurant is like a dive bar, a few TVs, a bar area, and a few seats. I saw some outdoor seating, but it wasn’t utilized at the time.

Best pizza in town period. Really glad i discovered this treasure the pizza was unbelievable . Unique selections, flavor and extremely helpful staff. I recommend this place on your way back to Kona or grab a pie and eat it near the beach.

The best pizza I’ve had in a while! We had the kona waui pizza, a cider and a craft IPA. All delicious!! The pie had the perfect amount of spice level, the jalapeños were sliced up in bite size pieces. Come check out the pizza when you’re in captain cook area!
