This place was fantastic. Made a reservation in advance since it is so popular. Visited the rooftop for drinks before dinner. Great atomosphere on rooftop and inside. Our waiter Brock was so accommodating and personable. Food was amazing and came out quickly. All of the staff was phenomenal. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to come back!!

We absolutely loved our experience at the Black Rooster. The ambiance is amazing, the food is some of the best I have had in Columbia! We have dined inside and most recently on the rooftop bar. Music was great, service was great, the view was lovely and the food was top notch. We’ll be back!

I hate to write these but it was so disappointing. The salmon tartine was fishy, the beef tartare lacked seasoning, but the cocktails were balanced and the dessert was delicious. The best thing we had was the chef board. I’ll keep this place in rotation for light bites to start or finish for a progressive meal. Overall I felt the place was clean and the staff was young but very friendly, the food just lacked seasoning 🙁

A girl friend and I came here last night for dinner. We sat at the rooftop bar which was a great spot to take in the sun set. The food was excellent and the service was superb, and the manager was very friendly. Over all it was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back.

Black Rooster has easily become a staple in the Columbia food scene and I am glad to have finally made it for dinner! Everything about the restaurant exceeded my expectations – from the interior design, to the menu items, and to the rooftop views! This place truly has it all. Quality of food, service and atmosphere can be found at Black Rooster!

Fantastic! French inspired but calm and casual. Would definitely return if we’re ever back in town. Highlight was the mint infused ice cream with the basil flower aromatics on top. Compliments to chef Alex!

Exceptionally good meal. The steak frites were a standout, as were the cocktails. We appreciated the specials as well as the vegetarian options. The rooftop is lovely, though can be a bit buggy.

The staff was attentive; 4 stars. The food was so so. I got the crepes to go. It was expensive. The portion was small and not appeasing to my eye when I got home. However, I sat at the bar Sat nite and drank a few beers. I hate to say that the french music and walls that looked like they were drawn on by a kindegartner on acid drove me a little mad. Every song was in French. I get it. Not a mellow vibe in my opinion. I travel a lot.
