My wife ordered a hamburger, my daughter ordered a hamburger steak and I ordered a Ribeye medium rare. My wife’s hamburger came out after about 30 minutes. She was done eating before the other food came out. After 1 hour and 10 minutes and several conversations with the wait staff, my daughter got her food and after another 5 minutes, I got my steak. It was very fatty and overcooked. When we were finally able to pay the bill, the waitress kept my card and said that I needed to add the tip before she ran it. No other restaurant has ever told me that. Then when she came back I realized what that was all about. They added a $4.95 service fee onto my bill on top of the tip without telling me and then ran the credit card through. This is no way to run a business. Very shady.

Y’all!!! Give the seafood potato a try and the gumbo! Best food in the area for sure. Owner was knowledgeable of local history and hospitable! Annette was a wonderful server whom I won’t soon forget! Go meet these good people and eat some of the best food you will ever have!

It’s pretty good food. For the place being mostly empty I feel the service was slow. Did to the saltwater intrusion, they were serving bottled water. That’s nice. 2.95 for a generic bottle of water is a ripoff. I can get a case of water for another 50 cents. Will never go back.

called and ordered take out. 2 Fried Shrimp Platters. Lady on the on the phone was very polite and helpful as she was when I walked in also. The problem was the shrimp. It was extremely tough and appeared to be boiled first then fried. cooked too long. I called to let then know. I asked for a manager. The lady being very polite again told me that he was upstairs and gave me his number. I then called him and explained my complaint. To which he argued. he did ask if I wanted to bring it back. I said no. I wasn’t driving all the way back. that i just wanted them to know. To which he rudely replied “What else you got then?” I said nothing else. but with that attitude we won’t be back. his response was “Good you don’t need to come back!” and hung up. Very poor customer service on his part. I simply was wanting them to know. didn’t ask for money back or anything else. Not many places to eat around the area so it is pretty upsetting to be treated so poorly.
