We moved to the area in December and finally ate at Blackbeards Friday night. It was by far the best food and service we’ve had yet! We got there around 5, I think the earlier you go the better the service because they get very busy later. Awesome snow crab, steak, crab balls and mushrooms. Will definitely be going there again!

Shellman Bluff is like a hidden treasure in itself, and Blackbeards holds the gold! We wanted to get some drinks and dinner with a good friend that lives out here, and she took us Blackbeards because she said it would be right up my alley, and boy was she right! I love this place! They had a live band that would take request, really good jello shots, pool tables, dart boards, and phenomenal food. I got a Jack & Coke for $8 and it was the biggest Jack and coke I’ve ever gotten, well worth the $8 and it was the perfect mix of whiskey and coke! I got the Steak bites basket (medium rare) and I mean it was MOUTH WATERING! I will be driving 45 out here just for that! The staff was so friendly and so were the other bar goers. This place is an absolute must

I had one of the best pieces of tuna that I have ever had last Thursday night. The steak was seared perfectly and the sauce complimented the fish perfectly! I can’t wait to eat here again!

It was nice. Food and service was good. They had a live band that night. They were awesome. Marker 4 was the name of the band. Came down to meet some friends for dinner. Really enjoyed it. They also have a nice juke box

I would give zero stars of possible. The only person who seemed interested in being there was the dark haired lady bartending. The other two waitresses had absolutely no interest in being there and made it very obvious. There was one other table in the dining area when we got there. Between three employees, it probably took at least 10 minutes to get any service. Even after the intial service, you had to track down someone to get refills or service. Went and got my own to go container. Appetizers had no plates and we’re not what was described on the menu, hopefully no one who has food allergies will be eating there. We got two surf and turf baskets. Both should have been medium rare, one was fried and the other grilled. The fried was totally flavorless and overcooked to the point of leather. Hush puppies had no flavor and seemed to be frozen. Same with the fries.

Me and my parents came here to eat and the servers were not attentive at all and food was very slow to come out. I ordered rare steak and it was not rare at all. The food had no flavor at all. I didn’t catch her name, but the dark haired waitress was the only one who was friendly.

We sat down and placed our order. Thirty minutes passed and our waitress came to tell us that there was a problem with the internet so our order did not go thru to the kitchen but that they would have our order out soon. We waited another thirty minutes the asked how much longer would we have to wait for our food. The waitress told us 25 minutes. That is when we asked to pay for our drinks and then we left without ever being served our meals. It was a big disappointment.
