Had at a catered event. Tried brisket, pulled pork, sausage, Mac and cheese, cornbread, and a hash brown side that was amazing. Everything cooked to perfection and great flavor. Not a big fan of the BBQ sauce but the meat didn’t need any enhanced flavor.

This restaurant is an old Texaco that has been converted. If this place is hopping, parking would be difficult. The food is good but expensive. It cost us $31 and change for 3 sandwiches and 2 drinks. All food is a’la carte so we did not get any sides with our food. The presentation of the food could be improved on. As shown in the picture, a nice sized sandwich is placed in a small to-go box even when eating in the restaurant. I did cut the sandwich in half. Hopefully the picture shows just how much meat is in it. The decor is unique and patriotic. It would be fun to have tables outside under the old gas station canopy when it warms up outside (we visited while it was too cold for this). The staff was nice and helpful. If we had a hankerin’ for bbq and were in the area we may be back.

BBQ up north is a touchy subject for a southerner, but these guys nailed it! Melts in your mouth, full of smoky, spicy rich flavor and cooked perfectly. And you won’t break the bank! 30 bucks for two huge servings of brisket and ribs, falling apart in all their yummy deliciousness and all the fixins! Absolutely worth it. Y’all are killing it. I will be back!

This review is based on the Blackhawk BBQ pit trailer that comes to Pocatello. I have not been to the actual location in Blackfoot, but I will probably be going there soon. I highly recommend Blackhawk BBQ if you like great BBQ. This BBQ food is AMAZING!!! Tender, juicy, flavorful, fall off the bone smoked perfection! I get their ribs and brisket usually, but I plan on trying the other menu items! Portions are a good size and I always get full. I’d love to see chicken wings added to the menu. I’d be a permanent customer if they did! The people that run the trailer in Pocatello are super friendly. It’s easy to strike up a conversation while you wait for your food. I would love to see one of these restaurants in Pocatello. I’d go there all the time! But in the mean time, I enjoy getting the food from the trailer. Prices are totally fair in my opinion especially for the quality of the meat they provide. I have never been disappointed eating here! Good work Blackhawk BBQ, good work indeed!

My granddaughter and I have some nasty food allergies so it is hard to dine in a new place. These people were so helpful and knowledgeable. The food was delicious with generous portions. These were best beans I have ever had at a barbecue restaurant. The pulled pork was so tender and juicy. The gluten free barbecue sauce was spot on. I highly recommend it.

I have a hard time with BBQ, I keep trying it because I just want to love it. I am sooooo happy to say that I have found the most delicious BBQ anywhere around. This place is pure magic! Absolutely delicious and the people who own and run this place are so friendly. Their potatoes are amazing, their sausage is amazing, their pulled pork is amazing….. every single thing on the menu is amazing!!
