Food was excellent. I was a little skeptical about ordering the Ruben, but I’m glad that I did. It was excellent. My buddy got the chef’s salad with chicken. It was loaded with grilled chicken and ham. Great little diner.

Hamburger steak didnt get onions and thought all hamburger steak had gravy on it. What I got was a hamburger patty, cold fried okra it was not cooked fresh and old black eyed peas. Was hoping for great food since its been in business so long. Guess I ordered the wrong food.

Ate there on purpose trip to get peaches. Food was surprisingly good. Group of us all had something different and all plates were cleaned at the end. Only draw back was they are cash only. Luckily I had taken some bills with me as I typically only do debit cards for every purchase.

Long time since I ate here. You can see how hard and unable to eat this $3.75 biscuit was. Rock hard!! Entire biscuit went in trash. My dog could not chew it.

We got there at a very busy time. It took some time for us to get our drinks and order in. We had never eaten there before and were just passing thru on our way to Myrtle Beach. Wanted something that didn’t come from a drive-thru window. They did not disappoint! Well worth the wait and will definitely be added to our regular side stops along the way next time!

The food is good…no complaints at all. The service, however, is not. Drinks not brought until after the meal. Forget about a refill. I figured they must have been really busy in the other room or extremely understaffed like a lot of places. That theory was debunked when I went to check out and pay for my takeout and had to wait on the 2 waitresses to finish their conversation. Literally like I wasn’t even there for awhile.

Just off the interstate, this family restaurant was a wonderful choice. It’s homey and friendly. I had the chicken salad plate. The sweet tea was absolutely one of the best I have ever tasted.

Been coming to Blakes over 30 years and tonight we witnessed the worst service ever at this establishment. Servers too busy on their phones to do their jobs. Laughing about social media and private conversation. Food is consistent from kitchen but when you have customers approaching wait stations to ask for drink refills and to go boxes acting like you are bothering them is unacceptable since they are expecting a tip.

First time trying this place. Will not be returning. No refill offered. Food tasted old. We got seafood, hoping we had a new place to go. Felt as though our waitress was pulled from another section to wait on us.( sat in back and all other tables had a different waitress) The slaw is excellent though.
