I had the red beans and rice, and it was very easily the best rendition of it I’ve ever had. Fantastic flavor, sausage, shrimp, and a chicken wing. The family is very sweet! The menu is huge and I’m excited to try more of it and to have a new family-owned business in town to support.

The food was delicious and our service was excellent. We had a fantastic conversation with our waitress and even got to see some of her amazing artwork! I cant imagine being angry with someone for not getting food fast enough. What a first world problem!

The food was amazing 10/10. But we waited for over an hour for one plate of fried chicken because everything was made to order. I ordered the mac and cheese and wasn’t told they didn’t have any until they brought my food out and didn’t offer any sort of substitution or anything to make that right. As we were waiting, we heard another costumer complain about their card having fraudulent chargers after coming to the restaurant. This may have been a coincidence but that definitely put a poor taste in my mouth. I love that this place is trying to support women and children who have be abused because I too have been affected by domestic violence. But I really think you need to accept the criticism you have been given instead of claiming everyone is bullying you because constructive criticism is no where near bulling and clearly there have been the same issues across the board so if you want your business to last you need to make some changes. You have a great cause and great food but if you don’t make changes to your service then your business is going to fail, plain and simple.

This newer location is wonderful. The owner genuinely cares about her customers and staff, and she has an incredible mission of employing domestic abuse survivors. She’s created a unique and inviting atmosphere. Seeing some of these negative reviews is frustrating since they clearly lack understanding and EVERYONE should be aware newer restaurants have massive hurdles and growing pains to overcome, especially post-covid.

Had a wonderful time and the lady was so sweet. 3 of the 4 menu items I had were delicious! My favorite was the gator bites they were so tender, and the breading was well seasoned. Frog legs were good, mini boudon egg rolls with their house jelly was my second favorite. Crawfish was not very fresh & I couldn’t t eat it. However, we are not exactly near somewhere to get it locally sourced, so I don’t know that I blame the restaurant for that. They are brand new and definitely have some kinks to work out. I highly suggest you dont make people wait 30+ minutes for just waters. Don’t bring an appatizer platter before drinks, plates, utensils, or even napkins are brought out.

My daughter and I were excited to go here. We are domestic abuse survivors and wanted to support this business. Plus my daughter loves the New Orleans food culture.

When we arrived, the server barely spoke and seemed like he didn’t want to be there, but I understand he’s probably a teenager working at his family’s restaurant. He started off by telling us all of the items they were out of from the menu. The list was considerable. I ordered the shrimp and catfish po boy and my partner ordered the seafood platter (was told only the fried version was available). The menu said the po boy and platter would come with a side, but not only were there no sides, he brought out both of our orders on the same dinner-sized plate. The table was pretty big, so try as we might, we couldn’t lean over far enough to eat over the plate and ended up trying to lay down napkins to eat over. It was an absolute mess. The food was about average. When we went up to pay, he just held up a phone with a QR code for me to scan. Apparently owning a smartphone is required. I scanned it and the charge just said “Couple.” I don’t remember the price for sure, but it was something like $50 even. I had no idea what I was being charged for, and there also was no way to tip with my card. I got the feeling they opened the restaurant a little too soon and haven’t worked out the kinks yet. We may try going back down the road, but will let a considerable amount of time pass first.

I love seafood and I love Cajun food. I’ve had soft shell crab two times previously – once at Emeril Lagasse’s and once in New Orleans. Both times were terrible, so I was a little apprehensive when my meal included soft shell crab. Here at Blessings, the soft shell crab was delicious! as was everything else!

Do not live in the city so drove all that way during open hours only to find out they are closed and no reason given. -_- will not go back. What is the point of going to a restrant that does not even try to respect their customers enough to be open when they say they are open?
