I was not a fan of the Chicken Biryani Bowl that I tried. While the food had colors that reminded me of Biryanis of the past, it lacked flavor, depth, and complexity, all the things that make up Indian food. The staff was nice and it did not take long to get my food, which is a good thing. Because of its location inside Legacy Hall, the atmosphere is great. Blist’r itself does not have any discernible atmosphere but does have lackluster food.

To start I will admit that overall this dish was great. Rice was cooked nicely, sauce was flavorful, and chicken was also cooked to perfection. My one complaint, however, would have to be the sauce:rice ratio. Any saucy rice eater knows how important it is to have a perfect S:R (sauce:rice) ratio. When considering both sides of the spectrum, I must say more sauce is more of a disaster than more rice. After all, are we eating a soup? Rice cereal? No, the rice is the glue that holds this all together; it is the base. More rice than sauce (only to a certain extent) is slightly excusable, though still not preferred. I think if you’re opening a restaurant with rice and sauce dishes you should be focusing on the S:R ratio. Trying to cut costs? I bet rice is the cheaper of the duo here. Just put a little more passion into the scoop. Other than that, it was great. Just know that this is important and a minor detail that goes a long way. Think about Chipotle and their S:R ratio.

[12/03/2022][$20] Butter chicken with potent sauce was delicious. curly fries and garlic naan were sabroso. Well worth a visit, and good value and taste.

This used to be my favorite place at legacy hall. They had corn and the service was fantastic. The last 2 times I’ve gone the service has been awful. Today I didn’t even get to choose my toppings. I was the only person in line and he just threw a bunch of stuff on my wrap and then handed it to me. I’m done giving this place chances anymore and will not be going back anymore. Also no more corn, which sucks cause the corn was delicious

I had the chicken tikka masala naan wrap. It was a good portion size, fresh and tasty, but I would have liked more tikka masala flavor. If you haven’t eaten much Indian cuisine, this might be just right for you. But, I’m accustomed to a more rich, full flavor. Next time, I might try a bowl to see if it’s more flavorful.

I ordered a few of their ‘Street food’ items. Everything tasted like it was over salted. I didn’t finish my meal.

I really like the Paneer Vindaloo wrap. Good flavor. I’ve had the vegetable samosas and they come out a little oily. I’ve had the chili potatoes before and they are OK, but those are overpriced for what they are. Quick service. Overall, still one of my favorites at Legacy Hall.

The Samosas were soaked in oil although the filling was ok. The tikka masala had no flavour. In a place like Plano where there are so many great indian options this was by far the worst in terms of quality and quantity.

I debated on if I wanted to post a review or not, but I figured maybe they might see it and actually do something about it. This is the second time we have had the same experience here. The first time we came here we stood a while before the man working there took out his AirPods and approached us for our order. When we tried to order he told us “we don’t have anything right now but naan bread.” I was confused because all the other places there were open, and it was early in the day. I let it go. The second time we came we were able to get food which was pretty good. I got chicken tandoori, and my husband got the butter chicken. His was okay, nothing special. We came back a third time on Thursday. There was 3 employees there at the time, and it took a while for them to approach us. When I asked for two orders of chicken tandoori the girl laughed and looked at the other two men and proceeded to tell me they don’t have it right now, but in an hour they will have it. We came back an hour later thinking they would have it. Wrong! The girl again approached us and was laughing after telling me they had no chicken in whole place. I was annoyed to say the least and asked her what they do have. She proceeded to tell me they have nothing ready or prepared and they just started cooking the beef. She just kept laughing like it was funny. She didn’t even apologize and had the nerve to say you’re welcome as I was walking away. This was around 5:30 pm Thursday. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. We will not be back ever again. If I could give 0 stars I would.
