I really really wanted to like this place. As HB locals, we like to frequent our downtown and Pacific City restaurants and support our local business owners. We were very excited and loved the view and ambience of this restaurant. The servers were nice and we ordered 6 oysters on the half shell, the rack of lamb, two Kobe burgers with fries and a mint julep for me. The drink arrived (now I’m a bourbon and scotch person anyway) but it was extremely sour. I tried to get ahold of a server but it seemed to take a very long time. I had approximately 8+ servers walk by and keep walking after I was trying to get ahold of them. Finally a woman helping a completely different set of tables helped me with my drink. All I asked was please make my drink sweeter. The simple syrup may have been left out of the mix when the bartender made my drink. Our waiter came back and told us the bar tender said it was sweet enough and refused to sweeten it. Odd. It would’ve been an easy fix. Instead they made me some other drink… which was Meh. The oysters arrived and they were extremely dry and slightly rubbery. Maybe shucked and left open in ice? The food was taking a while so the server brought us some bread and butter which we didn’t order. The bread was flavorless and so was the butter so none of us ate more than a bite. The lamb came and I was hoping they would redeem themselves. Unfortunately it had almost no flavor and I was looking around the table for the salt but couldn’t find any of that either. My daughter ate the burger but the fries were so blah she wouldn’t even eat them. What 10 year old refuses to eat french fries??? We left to find dessert elsewhere since the night had been so disappointing. I spoke with the manager Kevin before leaving and gave him my honest review of our experience. He seemed receptive and polite and was actually interested in the feedback. I truly hope this place will improve as I want us to have successful and tasty restaurants downtown in HB. Being that the food was unimpressive, a bill of $150 dollars was quite painful. The best places we’ve found to eat which are AMAZING in HB would be BlueGold, LSXO, WaterTable and Ola Mexican Kitchen. Unfortunately we cannot stand by BLK and say it was any good, but hopefully they will improve.

Great service! Camille at the bar was very friendly and drinks were really good. Had the lobster and shrimp linguine but unfortunately tasted very bland. Others got the meatloaf and sea bass and they really enjoyed it. Also got the key lime pie and it was really good.

Reserved table thru YELP. Parked 1 block away in a structure. Seemed organized even though it was Saturday nite & the busy time. Bread & wine were great. Dinner was great & came out in timely manner. Jesus was our server. BTW they have a Vegan dish, very yummy.

We went here for lunch on a Monday and right away we were greeted very warmly by the hostess. She sat us where we preferred to seat which had an amazing view of the ocean. We were served by Blake who was friendly and professional. He treated us like royalties. It was an awesome experience. The food was just too good. We ordered the shrimp cocktails, the clam chowder soup (which was doctored up with bacon and cheese), the tomato salad, shared the rack of lamb and for the sides mushrooms, asparagus and sweet potato fries. By the time the main course arrived we were already pretty satisfied. But the dish was so good we couldn’t stop eating it. We still had a whole lots of leftovers which we ate the next day. Still superb!!! I was just as equally astonished by the service Blake gave us just as much as I was from the presentation and the flavors of the food. What an experience!!! This place is perfect for special occasions and also for nice relaxing lunch getaway. You can really enjoy the beauty of life with the breathtaking view and the exceptional food.

Amazing place with fantastic view. Artistic interior, located in the center of Huntington beach on top floor with ocean view. Have kids menu and dogs friendly. Stuff is very friendly. Food is delicious! Great presentation, perfect taste, big portions. I ate salmon salad which was huge – 2 can share it easily, my husband had lamb chops and they were fantastic. Brocollini was super yummy as a side and margarita flat bread which is technically crispy dough margarita. Kids menu was great too. We had cocktails and they were good.

First time here, the food is decent, don’t recommend the fries. The tuna tower is very refreshing with mango and avocado on top of tuna chunks. The rack of lamb meat is very juicy and tasty but I recommend not gnawing at the bone (too salty). Nothing can beat the ocean view though, priceless.

Excellent service experience by Joanna! Kudos! I took my wife out for her birthday to this restaurant close to our hotel as we brought our dogs and very much enjoyed our time. Joanna came out and shared a little history of the restaurant and the naming behind it. She was very personable and complimentative of our choices. My wife ordered the filet, and I ordered the new york strip special. The steaks were okay, but nothing over 4 out of 5 stars. Taste was good, but nothing that stood out as exceptional. At the end Joanna brought out an unexpected dessert – a fried donut and ice cream which surprised my wife and I which made the experience better immediately, haha!
