About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

Update: see pictures. This is what I get when ordering dessert from a pizza place. Poorly defrosted, waterlogged, gummy, disgusting looking, straight in the garage Chocolate Obsession.

Wow. Saw this reviewed on Barstool Sports Pizza Reviews. I was visiting Chicago and had to try it. Definitely worth it. The pizza was amazing. So Cheesy (like 2 feet stretch cheesy) and delicious. I had to have it delivered to my hotel room but it was fine. Came on time and was all good. The box they bring it in is too notch too. I would definitely recommend Lou Malnatis if you haven’t had it or not from around here. I also got a regular salad. My Lord this thing would feed 4 people but was amazing as well.

It’s Lou Malnati’s. If you don’t like it, I’ll pray for you. I am pretty sure they are my 2nd favorite pizza ever. My 1st favorite is from a small town in Watervliet Michigan that is no longer there, so Lou’s is actually number one now.

There was a huge dragon fly/ bug in our deep dish pizza. My aunt ate the bug and spit it out so it was cooked into the pizza. The pizza was also very soggy and was leaking everywhere. Disgusting.

Heard great things about this place. Sadly I was disappointed. Ordered delivery and it was 15 minutes late past latest expected time given. As you can guess. Food was cold. Pizza looked sloppy as you can see from the photo. No utensils or napkins. No phone call to advise of being late or even an apology from the delivery driver upon arriving with food. Maybe better service at location possibly?… On a side note gave point for food being of decent quality in taste. It was just cold and late, no communication to that effect. Expectations of service I feel are low as I am not the first one to have this exact experience.

We normally love Lou’s and have no issues with delivery. About a month ago we recieved a call that their delivery person quit on the spot. We went to pick it up. We were told the difference would be refunded. We got the tip we prepaid back buy not the delivery fee. They were very apologetic but no compensation for the inconvenience. Now tonight we ordered through Door Dash because Lou’s delivery time was very high and Door Dash was not. The app told us the order was confirmed by Lou’s. Lou’s also chose to do the delivery themselves instead of using Door Dash. After 1.5 hours the app finally said the order was complete. Waited another 30 minutes figuring that was when the order left Lou’s. Nope, called and they claim the never got the order but they could see the order. What?????? When I started asking for a refund they couldn’t do anything, didn’t offer any help and pretty much didn’t offer to actually complete the order. Not apologetic, no offers and hung up on me. Great management skills on this manager’s part. Continue like this and you’ll be out of business in no time. Lost us. A simple let’s get it in the oven now and send it as soon as it comes out would have been better than nothing.

I love Lou Malnati’s pizza. Come here often because of their free entree deals and curbside pickup! My only advice is be prepared to wait 5 minutes extra for your order
