Ever wanted to visit Maine for their fresh seafood? STOP!! Look no further because you have one right in the heart of downtown Staunton! Coming from a born, raised & bred “Mainer,” I will attest that this place reminds me of home! As soon as you walk in, the coastal decor & atmosphere make you think your on the ocean front. Specialty drinks were delicious & the food? Fresh, fresh, fresh! Great array of sandwiches, fresh seafood & raw bar w/ really reasonable prices & great portions!! Our server/bartender was friendly, courteous, her drinks were on point, consistent & amazing! Would highly recommend for a special evening out, but if your not looking to spend a fortune, their sandwich options can make it for a pretty cheap & delicious dinner!

Excellent seafood in an elegantly converted old store with the original pressed tin ceiling. They have an excellent selection of wines, and a creative variety cocktails. Raw oysters are on offer at modest prices. The entrees were excellent as was the calamari. I can recommend the shrimp and grits, although those inclined might want a bit of hot sauce. Service was great but it was after lunch hour so not too much competition.

Everything was great! Best oysters on this side of Virginia! Five star visit for sure. The only thing was the server looked unprofessional and had no uniform on, but she was very polite. The atmosphere is beautiful! Love where it is located.

Surprisingly good being nowhere near water. The crab cakes could have been better hotter. The swordfish was over cooked . The waitstaff were very friendly. Visiting from WAState. Would recommend.

Would try again. I visited on a Sunday with my husband and our 4 month old. The atmosphere is beautiful and interesting, comforting and cool. Comfortable seating, not overcrowded, not too loud. My husband ordered the oyster shooter flight, and what a experience that was! The key lime pie is beautifully tart, but creamy enough not to overwhelm the pallet. The service staff and manager, Brandon are very understanding and accommodating. The small issue we had with our food was rectified beyond my expectations. All in all, very much enjoyed our experience here!

Had dinner at Blu Point this week – my first time. I had some fresh oysters and the Fish & Chips as my main. Food was simply wonderful – I’ve been to Blu Point on Johns Island SC several times, and both locations are quite good! Shout out to Julia, the oh-so-talented bartender and citizen of the world – be sure to sit at the bar and watch her magic! Great restaurant – will be back many times!

My Fiance and I love Blu Point. The first time we went was on New Years Eve and it was the perfect date to start the New Year. We went again last week and it was an equally wonderful experience. The staff is so nice and attentive. The food is phenomial every time. We always order some of the raw oysters for an app and they are cold with a wonderful salty ocean flavor. You can even choose the amount of salinity you would like so if you like your raw oysters extra salty, they have those. We order medium salinity oysters. I was blown away when I saw a whole lobster on my plate. The lobster meat was hot, soft like butter, and juicy. Dipping it in melted butter was delectable. The sides were equally wonderful – the potatoes, hush puppies, and veg. My Fiance orders the lobster mac and cheese and it is creamy and definitely not your average mac and cheese. It is definitely elevated. We ordered key lime pie for dessert and no key lime pie has compared since. It is tangy and creamy and sweet. Love it! Next time we come I definitely want to try to the crab dinner and my Fiance is thinking of trying a po’ boy sandwich.
