We love calamari, if it’s available at a restaurant we’ll get it. This calamari came in the form of fish sticks, it was hard and chewy. The appearance is very off putting and it was not tasty at all. The sauces it came with were lacking as well. We asked to replace our appetizer with chips and salsa, assuming that not much could go wrong with something so simple. But that was a disappointment too. The guacamole tasted like the avocados had over ripened and the salsa did not look, smell or taste like any salsa I have ever had. It was pure liquid and smelled acidic. The waiter was rude, seemed upset that we did not want the calamari and forgot about the chips until we were nearly done with our meals. The spinach and feta salad was ok, small for $17.00. It is overpriced and not good quality food or service. We would not go back, would rather go literally anywhere else in Santa Fe to eat.

We ate at the Blue Heron for three meals while staying at Ojo (evening drinks and dessert; breakfast; and dinner).

Great selection of food. Sea bass was great May have been a little too seasoned but overall delicious! Pork wing salad was very yummy!

I am a local and I ate here after day soaking based on what I thought would be a quick bite. It seemed busy and I was a little surprised that we were seated immediately. That should have been a red flag; however, the person who seated us was very courteous. Needless to say, the service throughout was painfully slow.

We ate at this restaurant when we had a four day, three night stay at Ojo Sante Fe Spa and Resort. Most of the time the food was good and the servers were nice. It really depended on who the cook was for the time of day, as with a lot of places. I do wish the honey was left off the cheese on the humus plate. The restaurant has great views if you are seated by a menu.

We just love everything at Ojo Santa Fe. Blue Heron has always been exceptionally good. We’ve eaten breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner as we always do when staying here. We especially enjoy Rosario at brunch/lunch. She’s always so friendly and sweet. Yet again all of our meals were fabulous. Locally grown items and nice wine list too. We heard the cocktails were also quite good. Occasionally we drive up to Blue Heron just for a meal even if not staying there. For lunch)brunch we especially enjoy the green Chile burger and mahi tacos.

We wanted to love this place, but sadly it fell flat. Most of the food we ordered was mediocre or unavailable. The blue corn pancakes were dry, the fresh fruit was old and nasty, the omelette was over cooked twice, and they were out of the burgers and fish tacos. For the win, and truly delicious were the grilled shrimp, blue corn muffins, and Tres Leches for dessert. Service was slow and we were over charged for a full salad even though we ordered a half salad , and the waitress would not adjust the charge.

This is a really quiet and simple restaurant. Ambiance is good, lots of lighting from the windows. Food was really good. Definitely worth coming here.
