Feeling like a nice chicken fried steak with all the fixings except ended up getting the catfish instead. Food was decent, sides were good, fish was nice and fresh and not oily. Prices were on the high side, that lunch with two sides and two catfish filets were almost 12$ and the cobbler was 5$. They do have an all-u-can-eat catfish fry on Friday nights. I might try and make it there one of these weekends. I would skip the cobbler, the filling was not tasty and the crust was tasteless and mealy.

I’m always nervous visiting new restaurants in places like Texas or in the South but I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was really great and the food was good. Had breakfast and a piece of red velvet which was SOOOO good. I’d definitely visit again!

Tried this place with a coworker, my first time and wow! Great service, friendly atmosphere, good is definitely good. Their dessert case is like Wow! Whether you eat the special of the day or order off the menu definitely good food. Parking a plenty, easy access for wheelchairs. Definitely going back.

Honestly it’s better than Dixie House that used to be there. 5 people about $60. The food is great. I like that the menu is not too big some smaller cafe’s try to do too much with page after page of food and it’s usually not very good. These guys and gals have the right idea a smaller menu made better. Friendly service and really good food. Even my picky eater liked it. We will definitely be back.

I have now been to this location several times since it became Bluemound Cafe and will say that yesterday was the worst experience myself and the rest of my party had. (Party of 4). Had to repeatedly get the servers attention to bring anything we needed (drinks, napkins, refills, missing sides etc.) but the icing on the cake here was looking over and seeing the older woman with shoulder length blonde hair and thick black framed glasses in the food pick up area constantly rubbing her nose, touching her face, and itching her scalp and then touching the food first hand without gloves or washing her hands. I watched her for a good 15 minutes do this over and over with several dishes. Saw her pick up biscuits and place them on the plates. The food is a bit overpriced in my opinion and wouldn’t mind if the service was better. Definitely won’t be retuning to this location anytime soon.

Me and my wife come here once a week normally on Saturdays. We always have Norma as are waitress she is very kind and welcoming. Such a relaxing atmosphere very quiet ,great food and very friendly people that work here. One of are favorite spots to eat.
