We ate at the place on a whim. We love Ethiopian food, however, because we were from out of town, we did not expect to see an Ethiopian restaurant in Kansas. So our expectations were high because of places from back at home. However, we did not know what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised that this food was very delicious/flavorful!

Our server was outstanding, and we very much enjoyed the food. It takes awhile to get the hang of picking up food with the provided bread (which is like a spongy tortilla), and eventually I had to give up and ask for a fork. The Ethiopian beer was tasty.

I was in town for the weekend and i went there by looking at reviews. I’m very disappointed, its not even Habesha Restaurant at all. Hire Habesha person to cook the right dish.

Delicious! We got the sampler platter which has 4 meats and all 8 veggies. I got their homemade honey wine Chicken was our fave and now my daughter knows she will get that next time. It was our first time, sat outside with recent mild summer weather, saw the streetcar go by regularly. It’s right next door to the City Market where we’ve been wanting to go. Vanessa’s service was great. We’ll be back!

Authentic and delicious! We ordered the vegetarian sampler and it was more than enough for our family of 4! The injera was perfect, food was delightfully diverse, and the service was fantastic. I’ve eaten a lot of Ethiopian food and this is as good as it gets!

I’ve have been to many Ethiopian restaurants in my day, and this one ranks right up in the top. When you enter, it’s a seat yourself restuarant. Service was a bit slow but very nice. We enjoyed the honey wine before dinner. Appetizers came late, but they worked with dinner, so all worked out. There were a number of dishes I wanted to try so I must return.

The staff was friendly and the place had good decor. For my personal taste buds, Ethiopian food is just not for me. It was a lot of mush on mush, so there was no discernable textures. The bread you use to pick up the food has a weird spongy texture and again just added to more soft mushy textures. It was as if everything was made in a baby food style. Some of the sauces seemed like maybe they were canned versus made fresh in house. This place is good for some people and I respect that, but it was not for me.

We got the combination sample platter for two people and it was delicious. I really enjoyed all the veggie options and everything was well cooked and perfectly seasoned. I also enjoyed the fluffy injera, it was the perfect amount of sour and went really well with all the dishes. I didn’t care for the veggie sambusa, which was a lentil stuffed fried pastry as it lacked flavour and was dry. Will definitely be back, I really liked the communal style of eating and sharing a plate with friends.
