I had been wanting to eat Ethiopian cuisine for year and a half and finally got to experience it. I liked a few things in the vegetarian feast that I had ordered. Also liked the Ethiopian Tea which reminded me of a tea that my father made for me. I wanted to try tef injera but they were out of it. It also has a nice ambience where they give experience to sit in the basket seats.Overall its a place that I would go once in 6 months because I found it expensive for vegetarians.

Great service. Very friendly but it is not my type of food. I know Ethiopian food has more. I think it is great option for vegetarians. The taste is good.

Enjoyed the vegetarian feast with all of the meats added. Next time, I will skip the lamb. It’s just not my thing. Service started out good, but the busier it got, the harder it was to get drink refills, etc. All in all, a good experience but not deserving of 5 stars this time. Will update when dining here again.

We ordered vegetarian feast with spicy beef and spicy chicken . Vegetarian feast was decent . But spicy beef and chicken was floating in butter , only thing we could taste in those was butter . We had Ethiopian food before but those were not buttery . Not sure if actual ethiopian non veg food is this buttery , but we could not eat it . Customer care was good .

First time at an Ethiopian restaurant but it was an interesting experience. We went in for restaurant week and ordered the “blue Nile feast”. The food was good, but rather than the entire spread I think next time is order a few of my preferred dishes. We got the bread pudding and brownie for dessert. Maybe it wasn’t the smartest choice but the brownie was so dry and not good while the bread pudding was much better. The drinks were a nice touch but rather expensive. The service was lacking. I drink a lot of water and during the main course they did not stop once (~30 minutes).

I’ve been to over 50 Ethiopian restaurants around the country (including many right in the Washington, D.C. area). This remains my favorite due to the freshness of the spices. They also excel at always having great staff.

In from California for the weekend and we were delighted to find this gem of a restaurant. My son and I devoured the all you can eat vegetarian special. Between the kind, attentive service and the wonderful food, we can’t wait to return.
