Finally there is a great seafood restaurant Newtown! I’ve been going to the Princeton Blue Point Grill for many years and was so excited when I heard they were opening a second location. Dined here last week and the scallops were amazing, along with all the appetizers, just as they are in Princeton. We started with a dozen mixed oysters (so fresh!) and the grilled octopus. Server was so friendly and the bar is also a welcomed addition. Will be coming back for sure.

We had dinner there on a Saturday night, the third night that they were open. Our server, Sandy was friendly and on top of things. Food was delicious and I had the best regular Mojito that I’ve had in this area. Not an extensive wine list but definitely reasonably priced. Had a little misfire with the delivery of our meals while we were still having apps, but the manager handled it quickly and without issue. Brand new hot meals were delivered later. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this seafood eatery in Newtown

As a regular customer at the Princeton location, I was excited to check out the new restaurant in Newtown. I was VERY pleased with the service, food, and overall atmosphere at the Newtown location! My server Kate was outstanding and very on top of things. My drinks came out timely and my food came out perfect. Highly suggest the scallops. I will be back soon!

I will preface this review by stating that the food here is absolutely amazing. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Our waiter abandoned us after taking our order, never offered water and never came back to check on our meals or whether we required additional drinks. I had to search him out at the bar to order more drinks, which arrived after we finished our meals. Additionally, the bartender seems to think an old fashioned contains vermouth (it does not) and thus I was denied an additional cocktail due the bar’s lack of a spirit that is not contained within the drink I ordered.

We LOVE Blue Point in Princeton, but my father in law doesn’t love the small tight seating . So when BPG opened in Newtown I suggested we go as we heard it was much bigger. WOW its beautiful – big and bright. Cool open kitchen concept- only wish It had a 2nd level to watch kitchen from up top. We LOVED our meals. Highly recco the crab cakes (I’m a maryland girl and these are the best in NJ- along with Witherspoon Grill in Princeton)- same owners. My hubby really really enjoyed the cajun catfish. And my father in law raved over the apple crisp dessert.
