We had just attended a graduation and were looking for a pizza place nearby. Blue Ribbon came up in my Google search and was highly rated. We were pleased to immediately find parking. While waiting just a few minutes to be seated, we were warmly greeted by everyone that walked pass us. They have a heated patio and covered patio, in addition to the indoor space. We opted for the covered patio for more space. It was a chilly evening, but we were plenty warm with the standing heater by the table. We ordered the truffle popcorn (insanely delicious), the pear and prosciutto salad, a cheese pizza and the My Father’s pizza. It was all great! Everyone at the table was satisfied. My 7 year old also rated it 5 stars. We wanted to have ice cream for dessert and they kindly pointed us to an ice cream shop a few doors away.

We travel A LOT. Family-owned local restaurants are a big preference of ours, and the wood-fired artisan pizzas at Blue Ribbon Artisan Pizzeria had the most PERFECT crust and flavorful pizzas!!!! We ordered the Cheesy Garlic Bread Pizza (ate it all and then realized we forgot to take a picture, oops) & Inferno Pizza. The atmosphere was very cozy and a great vibe. Brian was awesome and took such great care of all us all. If we are ever back in the Encinitas area we will definitely be going back!!!

It’s a good, solid pizza place that serves consistently tasty pies and great appetizers. They also have a good beer selection. I’ve been here 4-5 times and always have a nice time and enjoy the food.

We went for the live music during the Classic Car Nights on Thursday. We have had the pizza and garlic bread from Blue Ribbon before and it was quite tasty. We usually order food to go so we can sit in the courtyard and watch the bands play.

The staff is so kind, attentive, respectful, and very great at making delicious food!! My sister bragged the entire drive over and then then entire meal about this butterscotch pudding!! Ok…ITS AMAZING!!!!! But the pizza was so good I could have eaten piece after piece after piece. YUM! The ravioli appetizer is fun and delicious and the mozzarella sticks were crunchy and gooey. I have never had a dinner salad like this one. Absolutely delicious with blue cheese, cranberries and walnuts! And the dressing was phenomenal loved it.

It was the most AKWARD greeting I have ever experienced at a restaurant. I went to be seated with my toddler while my wife was getting my other son (a 1 year old) out of the car. The first server walks past me a couple of times, and then a second gentleman walks up like he was going to escort me out. He was very close to my personal space, about 8 to 10 inches away from my face. I asked him if we just sat anywhere? He replied well is it just you two?””” I let him know that my wife and other son would be joining us in a second. I felt really uncomfortable, unwelcome, and not sure how the experience would go? First impressions mean a lot. I would not return their especially with my family. Pizza was okay. I’d probably would give it 3 or 4 stars.
