I’m only giving a 4 because I did not like the Mac and Cheese, but everything else was amazing! Especially the fried okra. Slow night when I went but the staff was still great and quick service. Loved the music option. Prices were not bad for the food I got. Clean building. I’d definitely go back.

Tried this place for the first time. For my beverage I ordered a Bloody Mary with warm brisket in it. Amazingly good. I ordered the traditional burger with Mac and cheese. Burger was juicy and fresh and the Mac and cheese was the BEST I have ever had!! I would definitely recommend trying this place if you’re in the mood for BBQ. (The staff was also friendly, attentive and the food came out quick) I will definitely be back!

Had a great experience here last night with my family and friends. We ordered one of their combos and were pleasantly surprised with the flavor and portions that we received. Each combo is generously served with 2 sides, and we opted for the mac and cheese and fried okra. Both delicious in my opinion even through Okra is not typically something I would care to eat. Smoked BBQ chicken and brisket were flavorful, and the cornbread was so good that we ordered an additional portion before leaving. Location is great for those in the area especially near Norfolk Naval or even the ODU campus. Will be back in the future to try their burgers.

Out of all the BBQ places I’ve been to in the US and world wide, never ever have I ever….NEVER EVER…found a place that the chicken was just as good or better than the brisket. I was more confused about what I wanted to eat, the brisket or the chicken. I had the Corn bread…#sosoftandsweet. The brisket and half chicken platter with Beans and Mac and cheese. I only wish they would have fresh cooked it for me and had it ready seconds before I arrived so I can ask them to put ladle fulls of mac and cheese and pour it in my mouth. It was sooooo good! I’m also happy they had a favorite dish, Carolina Gold Wings, a MUST MUST TRY! I’m a huge fan now, thank you so much, THIS is exactly what I needed!

Tried for the first time today, and was left very dissatisfied. EVERYTHING was subpar from the cornbread to the BBQ sauce. The brisket was not great, no other way to put it. It was tough and required cutting in order to eat. I asked if that’s the way the brisket was supposed to be, and they stated it was. So it was not a messed up order, that’s literally the way they make it to be. I didn’t eat much of my brisket, not worth the calories with the taste and texture it had. Very disappointed, will not be return.

We pulled up for dinner and we were a little concerned because there was literally no one else there. When we walk in it is empty and then the workers walk in and smell like cigarettes. They have a lost of beer and the waitresses have to tell you which beer they actually have. Now with all that said the food was absolutely amazing. The appetizer the entres everything. Had to be some of the best food in that area. Will return just for the food alone. This place has potential not yet tapped
