Going with five stars on the BBQ pork sandwich with a side of slaw! Delicious. Pork BBQ was spot on flavor, and the slaw is a new favorite of mine well balanced with maybe some apple for sweetness. I’m not sure what’s all in it, but it is good and goes hand in hand with the BBQ sandwich. Friendly folk at the counter and plenty of seating in good ole roadside BBQ fashion. I’m going back to try a few more things on the menu. If you’re in them parts, definitely give em a try!

Rather unique roadside BBQ place. Lots of character. Outside seating only it seems. I’ve lived a long time and ate lots of potato salad but never green potato salad. It was good. Wife reported bathroom was very clean.

Nice quick outdoor eatery. Original barbecue flavor with the ribs I had, done to perfection. They flavor wasn’t my cup of tea but that’s just a personal preference thing. The barbecue had a twang of the Carolina vinegar that I wasn’t prepared for in the mountains of Virginia. The slaw also had a vinegarie surprise in store for me with what I think was turmeric. The Mac and Cheese was…..well, it was mac & cheese. It’d have been danged near impossible to beat the Mac and cheese my wife spoils us with….

They have only outside seating which is a change from the last time I was there but food is always spot on! I love the dill potato salad best of all!!!

Good barbecue! Coleslaw was not my favorite, but the potato salad was so good it more than made up for it. The pulled pork comes pre-sauced, but is not overly sauced. Would definitely check this place out again!

Drove past this place on the way to our daughter’s place, and decided to give it a try. Loved all of it! The whole package! Yeah so the place isn’t a fine dining establishment, but it’s perfect for what it is. The pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and baked beans was amazing! Also tried the slaw that my husband had and it was amazing too! We were promptly served our food and we ate right there in shop. Loved the atmosphere. This is clearly a family owned business with young people working there too which I think is awesome! Y’all keep doing what you’re doing bc it’s all about the great local food and experience!

A must try if in the area . I eat there at least once a week and the food and service is always great ! same style and original recipes that have gained them notoriety for nearly 40 years . My favorite is still the pork bbq with slaw platter with tatter salad and beans , 2nd would be a turkey croissant all the way extra mayo and dill sauce … The place has never looked better. Family owned with the next generation operating and doing great things … BRAVO!!
