Very rarely do you walk in to a place and feel comfortable, and yet rest in curiosity at the layers. It seems like any other small bar and grill that dots towns here in the east. A long clean bar and dim lights. 30 years or so ago there would have been ash trays on the bar I assume- but today all you smell is the good food from the back. The bartender was short, and sweet. Both in stature and conversation. We had a friendly conversation and I ordered a pizza to come get later. It was delicious. Stop by and see how many layers of this small little slice of comfort you can pull back.

The Blue Room – It truly is your local “Cheers” Bar. A local pub where folks drop in daily for a drink or eats. Whether you go once a week or more you’ll always see someone you know. It is the place where people know your name and everyone is friendly and enjoys conversation. The owners get to know you, greet you warmly and ask “do you want your regular”. They have a great “bar food” menu with plenty of options. The food is always consistently good. The vibe is relaxed, inviting and you’ll feel like you stepped back in time. We have many favorites on the menu however you’ve got to try the meatloaf! The fresh-cut fries too.

I grew up here in middletown and knew about this place and always thought it was a bar i dont know when it changed over to a family restaurant but let me tell ya the food was delicious and the service was friendly and timely. We did wait a bit for our food but it is understandable considering there was only 1 person cooking. It was very nice tho the server lady gave us a remote and we turned on encanto for our kids and they didnt even notice how long it took for the food to come. I will definitely be going back maybe this time without kids

Great atmosphere. Stopped in for lunch and it was so good I brought back my co-workers back for later night food and cocktails. We were in town for a meeting and Blue Room was perfect escape from the meeting room. We met a whole host of locals at Blue Room and they were wonderful. The food was reallly very, very good. I went on flyer and had crab cakes and honestly some of best I’ve had. All my buddies were loved their food too. We had a lot of jealous people at the meeting the next who had opted for chain restaurant fare.

A really nice place that reminds me of home. Great atmosphere. Three out of towners walk in and welcomed. Really good quality pub grub. Raider Bowl special (Wednesday night) was better than KFC. The wings were spot on. Try a bowl of the crab soup. Service with a smile and the glasses stayed full. Worth the stop.

Employees don’t wear masks (not even around their neck in an attempt), including the cook who came out from the back 6+ times. Lack of decent beverage choices. They made a Long Island ice tea with orange juice. No ciders in bottle or tap. Soda was poured from cans or two-liter bottles. Food wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. Took 45 minutes for a small pizza and a cheese steak. Service was so so. The bar also allows people to sit directly at the bar in violation of current laws. Will not return.

Great neighborhood bar. Limited menu, but the fries were fresh, and the service was great.
