What I liked about this place was the variety of items available on the menu. The west lake beef soup tasted authentic and the Xiang xi fried rice had a nice smokey flavor and the dish was perfect to share for 4. The century egg appetizer had a great combo of spice and other flavors and was a good starter.

Went to this place for lunch on a Saturday. The place really got a cool atmosphere and ambience. I tried the scallion pancake, Xiang Xi fried rice and Mala dry pot. I would say food is good atleast better than average Chinese food. However, I would say they still got room for improvements on Mala dry pot. The service is fare. The resturent locate on a really popular area and finding street parking can be difficult. Also you may need reservation as well.

I love this place. Incredibly friendly staff, great decor, amazing food, reasonable prices, and overall just great vibes. Visited twice, once while it was still new, and again for Halloween. They were surprisingly not full and was able to give us a big table. Dim sum and scallion pancakes were kind of a miss but this was years ago. The braised pork, dry hotpot, and spicy eggplant is amazing though!! Bathroom is downstairs.
