I was told by a friend to try this pizzeria. Out of the few local pizzerias in the San Leandro area that I’ve tried, Bluebird didn’t disappoint. Love the pizza sauce. Lots of selections and love the variety of half and half pizzas. If you or a child have a dairy allergy, they have a no cheese pizza that was really good, you can even add toppings to it.

The eatery is small but don’t be fooled by the looks. They serve some of the best vegetarian pizza in bay area. Flavors very on point and fresh. Ordered the Mrs. C and veggie. Loved both of them.

Such good thin crust pizza! I haven’t tried it but they have a gluten free crust option too. I would drive out of my way for this pizza but luckily it’s not far from where I live. Street parking but I haven’t had problems finding a spot whenever I go. The staff is always accommodating and friendly.

Great family owned and operated pizza joint! I’m so happy we found this little hole in the wall while we were in Oakland to see the Raider game. I would definitely go back if in the area again. I highly recommend to the locals.

It’s a family affair…Fran and Ray Jr. sling the killer slices and pies while Ray Sr. pours the brews…. This joynt serves up the best NY pizza on the West Coast. It is the real deal and it is served with good old East Coast wise crackin.

I’m from the east coast and had basically concluded that you couldn’t get a good slice in California until I discovered Bluebird. The crust is crispy yet chewy. The best part is that they don’t overdo the toppings. The ratio is just right so the bottom doesn’t get soggy. We also love the friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Fran knows all her customers and is very welcoming. We’ve become regulars and have met or gotten to know more of our neighbors through our visits to the Bluebird.
