The bloody Marys were great. 4 of us are that day and each of us were impressed with the food. The homefries were cooked perfect and my omelet was delicious. I didn’t catch (ok ..I forgot) the waitresses name but she was on top of her game. It was my first time there but I’ll definitely go back.

Soooooo much bigger than I ever thought. I have lived in the same town for 35 years and have never ate here until now. Whatttt? Crazy, I know… so worth it. It’s a fun, down-home, Happy Days diner feel and look. It’s roomy, bright, with a great atmosphere. I’m definitely going back. If you can’t find something to order on their menu, then you must not read?!

A diner in the front and a party in the back. You can choose to sit in the actual original Worcester Diner with (very) upright wooden booths and chromed counter stools or in the main dining room, with tables, booths, and many many persons who enjoy a good fruit cup. There’s the bar room, which is convenient if you want to watch someone make your drink, and also has a TV, in case you like to watch Bar Rescue while you trust that the Bluebonnet’s bar back and kitchen will never appear on that program. The whole place has a low-key railroad theme.

My husband and I went here decades ago when we lived in MA, so we took our kids. It was lackluster. Food was *mediocre (edited from “fine” since I was not allowed to say it was uninspiring and okay in the same review), prices were kind of high for what you got, and nothing to write home about.

We come here every time we’re in town. It is the quintessential American diner. Perfect and authentic. The food is to die for, the atmosphere is vibrant. Event the coffee refills taste higher quality than most other diners.

The atmosphere is just like the old fashioned diner experience from the 50’s without the jukebox. Most of the dishes are great but have noticed a small decline in quality lately in the sandwiches. Several of the waitresses seem burned out. No friendly chatter like you used to get. Its take your order and the last of your words are still in your mouth but they’re already gone. Your plate gets slapped on the table, silverware thrown and off they go. Not sure if they are short staffed or what happened because they always used to be so friendly. I keep going back because of my fond memories there, but the decline is just enough to make you sad.

I have eaten at Bluebonnet at least 100+ times in 50 years. For 30+ years I have lived out of state but when I am in the area Bluebonnet is always a stop. However, in the last six months I have eaten there three times and been very disappointed. Portions were small and not worth the price. Food was OK but again not worth the price. Last week, we ordered the special – a large bowl of beef stew. There were 6 pieces of beef, 3 of them small, and a few carrots – all for $11.99 + tax & tip. Also, the clam chowder has become watery and lacking clams. Yipes! Another time they messed up the takeout order, wrong side, forgot dessert.

30 minutes for an $8 pancake. There were no other tables being waited on and yet our waitress spoke to us maybe 3 times. Otherwise she was seated elsewhere.
