Very cute neighborhood spot. The place is clean and the food is decent. The sushi wasn’t the most flavorful, but it’s very reasonably priced and makes for a healthy meal. The server there was so nice and earnest and provided great service. He was very attentive and polite! Most people seem to get takeout. It’s a very small store, but they have comfortable seating for two parties or so. So when we went, it felt very VIP, like we had reserved the whole place for ourselves :).

One of the worst sushi experiences I’ve had in a long time. I never write reviews but I felt this was necessary. I’ve ordered from Bluefin before and didn’t have a great experience so I thought I’d give them another chance. First off, the customer service was terrible. From the phone call to the in store pick-up, it felt almost like they didn’t want us to order from them. It was a weird and very unpleasant experience. Secondly, the prices compared to the amount of food we got was shocking. I know sushi as is is expensive, but we paid 30 dollars for 4 half-full, small boxes of sushi. On top of that, one of the “rolls” was outrageously small. I’ve attached a picture of this roll. We placed a penny and a quarter next to it to show how insanely small it was. This was so upsetting because the other rolls we got were actually really delicious, but the size of them, and this one especially, was so frustrating. Extremely disappointed and never purchasing from here again…

This place is really excellent. My wife and I found it two weeks ago and we’ve been there three times already. Great quality ingredients and masterful execution. Also, really affordable. The salad – of all things – is amazing (farmers market greens with an excellent dressing). I’ve never been a big fan of the California roll, but there’s is super good. The spicy tuna – so often nothing special – is a new bench mark. All of the sushi has a perfect rice to fish ratio. Hands down the best rainbow roll I’ve had so far, and I’ve had many. The menu is minimal, but, to do a few things and do them well should be celebrated. Chill vibes, great service, and right at the South Pasadena Gold Line stop. Recommended!

Excellent, fresh and very tasty sushi. I’ve been there almost a dozen times and always walked out satisfied, not hungry and happy that I found the place. It is a small restaurant and sometimes you may have to wait, but they take reservations. I’m taking my date for his first visit and I’m positive that he’ll enjoy it just as much. Highly recommended!
