Our first visit will not be our last! Food was fabulous, service friendly and efficient. We dined indoors because it was still very sunny and warm outside when we arrived around 5 o’clock. By the time we left the outdoor seating had just about filled up. A popular place, understandably. We will be back ! (And try the outdoor seating and another of their many food options!)

Drinks and an appetizer with the dogs after a nice walk. A little warm on the patio, but tolerable with an umbrella. Very capable and affable staff. The apps (drunken mushrooms and Truffle fries )were over the top. Music on the weekends, great location on the river, super food, friendly staff, we’ll visit as often as we can!

Service was great. Food was good but then I ordered takeout and they change the menu,They need to come back with the peppercorn steak and green beans,mash potatoes, definitely mashed potatoes. Everybody has mashed potatoes with chicken with steak. but service is awesome. Atmosphere is great they have music on the weekend which is awesome for Alexandria and the restaurant and the people a lot of these reviews are from almost a year ago when they opened up so obviously they just had to get used to things and see what they had to improve and if you ask me, they have improved but you gotta bring back to peppercorn steak and mashed potatoes and green beans lol

We were thrilled with our experience at Blue Gills! The atmosphere is definitely better than when it was The Main Street. We sat on the deck and felt totally relaxed. The wait staff was attentive, food portions large and everything was tasty! We will definitely be returning.

Worth the short drive from Hollidaysburg. Table of 4.. Drinks were delicious. (Orange crush,pear martinis,draft beer) appetizers were awesome. (Drunken mushrooms are 5 star and crab dip) meals all on point. (Ribeye, crab cakes, scallops and shrimp Alfredo) portions left no room for dessert. Wait staff was attentive even through it was crowded when we were there. Short wait to be seated. We sat inside but they do have an outside seating area. We will be back to try other menu items. Thanks for an enjoyable evening out.

Hubby took me out for dinner. Weather was so nice we sat outside on the patio. The place was not busy at all, even for graduation weekend. Nice waitress. My filet was delicious. The asparagus was lukewarm and the “fresh cut fries” were cold. Husband’s salad was good. They did give me a % off. Will go back. Hope next experience is better.

A very quaint local restuarant and bar! A cozy setting in small Alexandria along the stream. The menu is expansive and truly has something for everyone from staples to exotic twists. Great house drinks and uncommon suppliers. I loved the PA based variety of their products. A wonderful outdoor seating area near the stream. Plenty of parking!
