Great bbq. Brisket was excellent, ribs very good as was the pulled pork. Baked beans were delicious as was the Mac and cheese. Friendly folks and well worth a visit, even if you’re visiting Blacksburg a nice 30 minute drive into the mountains.

Hands down, the absolute best BBQ restaurant in the NRV. Every single thing I’ve eaten here is incredibly delicious. A highlight for me is the frog legs. They’re battered and fried to perfection and served with hot slaw and pepper honey. It’s so nicely presented, you might expect to get something like it at a gourmet restaurant. The ribs, smoked chicken, and brisket are dynamite. Even the sides are top notch, especially the hush puppies and baked beans. The only thing I would say you could skip is the macaroni and cheese; there are better options on the menu.

Stopped here with some friends local to the area and they said it was great. Being from Texas I wasn’t sure. However, I am happy to say they were right. They got the 3 meat platter, my husband and I shared the two meat platter (and had a little leftover). Our 11 year old got the pulled pork sandwich off the kids menu and had to take half the meat off because it was so much. He had enough for another sandwich. If you are in town definitely worth the visit.

Me and my best friend decided to eat here today for lunch since we never ate here before and let me tell you, I’m glad we did!!! We both got the 4 oz size BBQ sandwiches with the skinny fries, hush puppies, and green beans and it all just melted in our mouths and those sauces? It was delicious!!! The staff was very polite, great atmosphere, it was just very pleased!!!! We are one happy camper and we definitely will visit again soon!!! Keep up the good work, guys!!!

This place delivers on portion size and the variety of BBQ-related meats and sides. I especially enjoy the Hot Slaw (it’s spicy). Situated in a former Post Office, the ambience is a bit 1950’s governmental chic, but this restaurant gets both the Bluegrass and the BBQ done right. The wait staff were friendly and efficient – they even welcomed in Westley, my 11 year-old miniature long-haired dachshund, who was on his way to a dog-grooming appointment at Gwenderland Grooming in Pearisburg. He liked the floor fries and the occasionally “dropped” bits of shredded pork.

We stopped to grab a bite to eat before we went to our final destination and I’m glad we stopped!! The ambience of the restaurant was very friendly and it definately had the feel of the “Mom & Pop” establishment. Our waitress, Terri, was absolutely amazing! She’s very kind and took the time to explain the difference between the platters. The BBQ was very tender and flavorful! Mac & Cheese was perfect as was the collard greens! I had a hush puppy and it reminded me of the hush puppies my mom used to make. I can say that no one goes away feeling hungry! I definitely recommend this place!!

We stopped here for lunch after hiking and what a treat! I had a brisket sandwich and my husband had a pulled pork sandwich. Both were prepared well and we loved the selection of sauces. The smoky bbq sauce was the perfect match for my sandwich. There was a great selection of sides and you couldn’t go wrong with any of them. The baked beans were a favorite at our table. The hush puppies could have been pulled from the fryer a bit sooner but were still good and served with honey butter. The kids’ menu is fantastic too. My daughter even noted that they toasted the bun for her burger. We can’t say enough good things about this place and it was reasonably priced!
