Tried the gumbo, red beans & rice, and a blackened chicken Po Boy. My buddy who has been to New Orleans a bunch thought the first two dishes had the right ingredients but were bland in comparison. I’ve never been to NO and thought the dishes had good flavor, but not a lot of heat. It was probably curtailed to MN tastes or they may go out of business… The Po Boy was the easiest to replicate and was the closest to the original with the right bun and flavors. The Rosemary fries were very good!

Wow….big fat zero! My Salmon bland, under flavored and under cooked. Possible that they typically cook it rare, however normally a good restaraunt gives you a choice or a heads up. My Son’s Hanger steak was incredibly undercooked “raw”! He ordered medium rare…not even close. It was super chewy and grissely. Obviously an overprices piece of poor quality meat! My husband’s prime rib (ordered medium rare) you would expect to be rare, but it was over cooked! He also ordered 6 raw oysters. One just so happened to have a very unexpected guest in it….a baby crab! We pointed this out to the waiter, who found it interesting and kind of funny. No compensation for that in our $135 bill! Never again.

My husband and I came here for dinner last weekend. We were both very excited for seafood and he had previously gotten lunch once so he was looking forward to bringing me there.

A steak and seafood place that didn’t really serve steak or seafood during lunch. They had one option of steak and 2 options for seafood. So my gf decided to go with the half lobster sandwich. We were told it was no longer available in half size. She sure didn’t need the full 12 dollar size. The bottom of the menu said we could ask for the dinner menu. But when I asked the waitress said “no we don’t have a specific dinner menu for lunch. What’s already on the menu is considered dinner options, for lunch.” Whatever that means. On top of it all the waitress was rude and short with us. Didn’t seem to care about anything. Two drinks and an appetizer was 37 bucks. Nope.

We eat out a lot, so we were delighted to find a unique menu instead of the same old stuff. It’s also one of the reasons we’ll be back – there’s so much more to try! The California sea bass and the salmon were very tasty and I loved my blackbery mojito with real blackberries. The service was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable and the ambiance was pleasant.

Great new restaurant in Eagan. Very wide range in pricing from high-end steaks to Po’ Boy sandwiches. Two entrees: Voodoo Pasta, with Andouille Sausage and Shrimp was very good; Hangar Steak was well prepared and had excellent flavor. Portions were larger than most, but not huge. Beignets were good, but not the best (JD Hoyts has the best in town, IMO), however I’ll give them another try after the place has been open for more than a week. Overall a great first trip. We’ll be back soon.

My wife and I really want to like this place. I mean WE REALLY WANT TO LIKE THIS PLACE. But we unfortunately do not due to 3 out of the 4 visits that we have made have all had major issues.

Some of the food is OK, but generally overpriced. Tap list is pretty uninspired and does not have enough variety. The house special drinks were above average, but nothing that would get me to become a regular. I work less than a mile from here and after trying it out a few times non of my co-workers have a desire to return.

The food was delicious. But I have to warn people, be sure to check your bill when it arrives. I had the special of the day, the King Louis Steak, which was advertised at $36.95. When the bill arrived, I just paid it – and when I got home, I realized that I was charged $49.95 for the steak. Yikes – it was good, but $50 for a steak? I don’t think so……………..

Only 1 star because you’re not allowed to do 0. All I can say is don’t take a native Cajun to this TGI Fridays inspired seafood joint. Servers are great. Hurricanes passable (not strong). Food…. um …no….Owners are from HAWAII ! ! ! Living in Louisiana for a bit does not make you a NOLA native. Jambalya was more like a sad excuse for an etouffe. Dry chicken meat and a very sweet tomato sauce. Who puts kielbassa in a Nola dish? Po boy on cheap italian bread with tomatoes and coleslaw(flavorless and oily) made for a soggy mess. Gumbo, just ok. Dry chicken again. Wait I’m almost done. We tried the beigets….. great sauces! I’m glad they offered it with my funnel cake bites. Well now at least I can save a trip to state fair.
