AMAZING food, drinks, and atmosphere! Sat at the bar with amazing views of the ocean and Redwoods. JJ the bar manager is the most coolest person ever! She will tell you the best places to go and check out like Hiouchi Cafe, Fog Bank, Surf Shop, and the best Redwood trails. She is so full of positive vibes and energy! The owner came out and even had a beer with us. I had the 101 Dragon Roll – it was AMAZING! So fresh! I wanted to try all the rolls on the menu. The double burger is also INCREDIBLE. We will definitely go back every time we visit Crescent City. Don’t miss this gem of a place to go!

The food was good. We were told when we walked in that the kitchen was extremely busy, but we could sit in the bar and order from the same menu. They quickly seated us in the half empty dining room once we told them we made a reservation. The very nice busser got us waters, but couldn’t get us soda, he said the server had to do that. Our server finally came and apologized after we sat there for 20 minutes, then came back after another 5 minutes to finally take our order. The food was good, not amazing, but was tasty.

Great quality fish. Excellent sashimi! That’s the ticket here. Appetizers are a bit pricey for portion size but overall yummy. Lunch special could have been a bit bigger too for roll size.

OMG! AMAZING SUSHI!!! We recently stayed at the Anchor Beach Inn. The front desk recommended the Boat House, but it didn’t hit me that is was a sushi place until we got there. We sat at the bar and our server, Jenna, was so great (hey, Scott). I eat sushi once or twice a week and really appreciate good sushi. Chef Justin is incredible!! He must have heard we were raving about his sushi and he came by to introduce himself. He has a very impressive work history of restaurants he has owned in FL, NY, and TX. This is one very talented and experience sushi chef! When we ordered a second round of nigiri he made it special and delivered it to us personally. This is definitely a diamond in the rough!! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!!! Not sure when we’ll make it back to Crescent City, but when we do you’ll find us at the Boat House!!! Thanks Jenna and Chef Justin!!

Just spent a most incredible birthday at The Boat House. Excellent Volcano roll and sweet potato fries, with a Dark and Stormy Rum drink. So delicious, and flavorful! A fantastic bartender too! Such a relaxing view from the upstairs bar, of the ocean and surrounding mountains. Highly recommended!
