We met friends for dinner on a Tuesday and happened to be there in time for happy hour, which involved buying a drink and getting a second drink for $2–a great deal if you and your partner enjoy the same beverage. There were also a variety of half price appetizers available. There was ample seating available inside and a few open tables on the deck as well. We enjoyed a spinach dip and cheese curds before dinner and both were quite good. We also had fun playing pull tabs from the self-serve machines. My partner ordered the jambalaya and really liked it. The serving size was enough for dinner at home the next night as well. I had the oriental chicken salad and I found it really disappointing. The chicken was pretty good, but it was served on a large bed of pale lettuce with a few sprinkles of almonds and rice noodles and dressing that was too sweet and wasn’t particularly oriental. The menu was pretty extensive and we really liked the ambiance, so we will visit again and try different dishes next time.

Such a beautiful view! We biked there from the campground. Wait staff was incredible. My overly abnoxious son accidentally spilled my SIL’s drink while the waitress was taking our order. She didn’t hesitate to help clean it up and get a new drink. Food was so good! I had a chicken pecan salad and it was amazing!

This was my first time to the Boat House in Waseca, Minnesota. We were greeted and brought to our table inside overlooking the lake. They had a great menu. I ordered the Friday Night Prime Rib Special. Others ordered the Ribs and Chicken and Shrimp Dinners. The chicken was very impressively moist. All the food was deliciously prepared. The service by Charlotte was amazing. She kept our beverages full and had a very nice personality. She truly cared about her customers. The bathrooms and restaurant were clean. I loved the home cooked food. Great job to the kitchen staff!!! They do have a kids menu and the facility is handicap accessible. I highly recommend this place. We will be back!

Our server was ally, she was one of the best waitresses i’ve ever had. not only did she go out of her way to help take a family picture for us, make sure we had everything we needed, checked on us very frequently. had a can do attitude and was just all out the best service we’ve received. so thank you so much ally!!

Don’t waste your money! The ribeyes were unseasoned and under cooked. If your going to order a steak, bring your own knife! The steak knives that are provided are super dull. The waitress didn’t come back to check on us, I had to ask for another round of drinks. Very disappointing!

We had gone to this place and after we had gotten our food. The waitress never came back to our table. She walked right past even making eye contact. In order to pay, we had to walk up to the bar and mention we never got our check to pay. We should have gotten a discount or something for the poor service. We could have easily walked out without paying but we’re not like that. Did not give a tip to the waitress. Should have written a tip to how she should improve and not ignore customers. It wasn’t even busy.
