We were on a bus heading to Key West from Marathon. Nature was calling and it was another 45 minutes. So we hopped off the bus and came here to eat and drink. It did not disappoint. The food, the service and atmosphere was perfect. I had the tuna wrap with homemade potato chips. It was awesome.

My sweetie and I came in for lunch, and were delighted with our meal. Bobalu’s provided a relaxed atmosphere and a good value for a good meal. Our server- the bartender was very nice. Sweetie had the grilled Mahi reuben, which was on thick slabs of rye bread. My choice of the Jamaican jerk half chicken was marinated in 27 herbs and spices and was cooked well and tender with crispy skin, and it came with 2 sides. We washed it down with a couple of glasses of iced tea. The bar had plenty of options, but we weren’t ready to start day drinking yet 🙂

The waitress was very sweet and friendly and will sell you on anything on the menu. Be advised, it is not a “full bar” and we had to send back the gin and tonics as they were just gin and water. The stuffed mushrooms were very good, but only 4 mushrooms per order… The food overall was average – we all ordered the Ocean Platter in all forms (one blackened, one grilled and one fried), and it’s not as much food as you think it will be. The cornbread was very dry and had minimal flavor. There are many options, we would recommend probably going somewhere else.

Food was good. Cool atmosphere. Service was poor. Waited an entire hour to get my dinner, due to a “30-person party” out back, despite the inside being relatively empty at 7pm-8pm on a Wed. Night.

This was our third time eating here and it’s delicious every time. The pizza is a so good and everything else on the menu. There is something for everyone to eat here. The staff is very friendly and the vibe is very casual/relaxed. They have live music as well. Will be back soon!

If u need some out of this world home cooked meals this is the place. The food is fresh and the establishment is very clean and inviting. Really wish I had tried a lot sooner. I’d have had a lot more pleasurable meals. Try the Grouper Reuben.
