I ordered the grilled pork Vermicelli and couldn’t be any more disappointed. The owner tried to trick me to tell me what I got wsd grilled pork, but it was actually cold pulled pork (look at my picture and you decide). Food quantity was dismal and only filled up half the take-out box. Flavor was bland, pork was cold, no Bueno!

I got the kimchi pork belly bahn mi. It was very lovely. Generous pork belly, cilantro, pickled radish and a pat of margarine to seal the deal. The owner proprietor is a solo act and makes everything with love. My boy got the noodle soup and asked for hoisin sauce, but he didn’t need it because the soup was so flavourful!

One of the authentic Vietnamese restaurants in SF.

Average at best taste and food. Not worth the price. Only one person doing all the work, asked me to pay extra for sauce.

The flavor profile of the food here is super unique, not your typical North American Vietnamese food. Probably because they use fresher ingredients and less MSG IMO. 🙂

Love this great vietnamese restaurant on the edge of the Mission. No fuss no frills, just plain good food cooked perfectly. We had the pho with chicken (the broth was amazing) and the vermicelli bowl with pork and imperial rolls. All of them delicious. Reasonable prices and good service.

Food is cold. And the taste, nothing to write home about. The vermicelli noodles looked like it was prepared a day before. The owner is the cook and the server. Its a one man show and she was getting feisty. Drinks were served after we finished eating. And then, before we could even finish our meals, the owner asked if were done and started collecting the bowls. I do not recommend this place.

Bobo’s Bistro is a rare creature in the mission: a newly opened restaurant that just wants to serve you a decent meal at a reasonable price, without any reclaimed wood countertops or trendier-than-thou lighting fixtures. The service is friendly and unassuming. The food is good. The bahn mi is amazing. BYO with a modest corkage fee.
